My guess is it's like Diagon Alley's contract: The headlining ride needs to function for the land to be open. Universal can get exemptions and such but WB wants to likely CYA when it comes to show quality and brand experience.

Actually, the show quality control is a good thing. It forces Universal to put a good product out whereas they might have cut stuff otherwise...... But now it's become somewhat ironic that such a poorly run company (WB), actually the sick man of the film industry, is able to set standards of quality control. Perhaps they should hold themselves accountable to such high standards. :D ....One more reason for Comcast to buy them, for the pennies they're now worth since Zaslav drove the company deep into the mud.

Gonna sound weird, but I really don't mind spoilers - for theme parks or even movies. Me experiencing something in person for the first time is always going to hit differently than me reading about it, or seeing a video.

If anything, seeing how beautiful the lands are (and how amazing BatM is, which I assumed it would be) is making me consider forgoing a night of HHN during my short trip to spend another night at Epic instead. Consider me influenced lol

I get it, but I live in Florida and was able to avoid rise of the resistance POVs for almost 3 years until I actually rode it , and I’m a huge Star Wars fan. So it can be done, as difficult as it may be .

I watch POV's. First of all, I factor in that almost all attractions actual experiences are way better than the POV. POV's don't do justice. My second reason is a bit different. Before POV's were widely available, I often found that on my first ride of an attraction, it didn't meet the too lofty 'expectations' I had of it. Example: That was the case with both JPRA and Mummy. Both excellent attractions, but my expectations were 'too high'. In subsequent rides, with more ''realistic' expectations, they've become two of my favs. So now, I'll watch a POV 'once', so that my initial expectations won't be overly lofty, and more realistic....and knowing the actual ride experience will be much better than the POV......I know I'm probably a bit in left field on that, but it works for me.

Think it’s a personality thing. I avoid movie and game trailers for the same reason. I don’t really want to have someone else tell me what happens without seeing or hearing it for myself. But to each their own.

It’s just not that serious for most people, And a world class top attraction is going to be just that either way. Plus knowing can enhance your park day experience knowin what are your absolute must do’s according to preference.

How does one delete their memory of having read a book that has been adapted into a movie? Historical event? Stage to screen? Etc...

Watching a POV or trailer won't ruin the experience. Then again, I'm over here wanting all the spoilers because the hype lol

Apples / Oranges as it’s a different media. Also try watching a movie and then reading a book, you can’t unsee the characters. At least I can’t.

Anyway . This has gone slightly off topic. Sorry to derail

On the POV subject, is the ride forever ruined after your first ride? Of course not. Same for me watching a POV. I think a POV can build anticipation. Like the hanger in RotR. I'd built it up in my mind from pics and vids, so when I got to see it, I'd made it a bigger deal than if I'd never seen it IMO.

Another consideration is a lot of people are only going to get one trip a year or longer if not ever. On that trip, a ride like these, you may only get one ride if the lines are bad. In that case, I think it's better to know what to expect so you aren't looking the wrong way and miss something.

But, to each their own.

The "spoilers" in these forums have been invaluable for me regarding trip planning in the past. Whether it's navigating around the park quickly or just deciding how to prioritize rides and restaurants, I want to know everything before I go, including watching the POV. Also if you only get to ride a major attraction once, it will help you get the most out of it and know what to look for. I don't get to the parks often, unfortunately.

It's so weird to have another Harry Potter E-Ticket where you just wear a seatbelt. :lmao: And quite possibly the best one to boot.

Got to see the queue yesterday. The scale of it is jawdropping. I truly felt like I experienced a walk-through attraction. I'd recommend people doing it even if they have no intention of riding for whatever reason and just exit after.

TBH I would rather spend my time waiting 7 hours for a actual good advanced ride than doing the kid coasters/attractions over and over again.

Do you guys think they'll have Battle At The Ministry open for the AP previews? I really hope they do. Even if they use a virtual queue it's better than nothing.

How does universal do virtual queue? Do you have to be physically in the park to get a slot like Disney?

Based on Hagrid's & Fallon's virtual queue, its similar to Disney's current Individual Lightning Lane system where the guest can actually choose the time available versus a lottery system like Disney's boarding groups.

While that system is great for a ride that is a bit more reliable, I think Disney's boarding group system might be fairer initially.

Instead of a 7AM & 1PM drop, I think it's best if they do it every 2 hours as they determine how the ride's running that particular day.
