What's the deal with the large figure with the top hat in the window for the Weasleys' shop? Last few times I've been he hasn't been lifting his top hat? Is that functioning at all these days?

The hat was getting stuck on the rabbit

I was there about three, maybe four weeks ago and the hat effect was definitely working at that point, seems like a hit or miss kind of effect. Pretty cool when it's working though!

Yes!!! I leave for two weeks onsite at Universal tomorrow night. Looks like we should get plenty of Gringott's rides. We did Transformers well over a dozen times last fall for it's debut year.

First days of October should be fun - HHN crowds might be a tad big but it looks like wait times will be well below what they were!

For those who have been, how long does it usually take to receive your food at The Leaky Cauldron once you have ordered? We are doing Stay and Scream on October 3rd and only have a limited amount of time to hit the rides as my friend has never been to Universal.

Excellent, thank you!

There are four of us so any recommendations as to what we 'must try'?

I've been told that the Fountain of Fair Fortune show will be making it's debut today in Diagon Alley!

It seems you are correct. Now my question is will the alternate between the 2 tales or will it be random?

Was the large guy's mic working? It seemed not. For me at least, the story seems unclear and not "pointed up" as well as it should be.

It was in the beginning then stopped about half way through the show.

Yeah, something's still off on the writing. Three Brothers did so well because they pretty much took the writing and pacing from the movie. Interesting they also removed a prop that was shown in the Making of Special:

*edit*

I think a major issue is the choice to include dialogue in addition to narration. Because of that choice, and way more characters to set up, it's harder to follow.

I didn't think Diagon Alley was as cool temperature-wise this weekend as it was back in July. Is this something they've been playing with?

The hat on Weasley's was finally working again this past Saturday. I never noticed before that the rabbit's ears move back and forth as well.

Although this isn't really the thread for it, there are at least a few Diagon references, so I am placing here instead of creating a new thread. ITEC Corp has a super compelling video of their vast client list and works and it is relatively new. It is large and part of the homepage so just be patient, and turn up the volume. If you like world parks and theming, you'll love this.

I was really disappointed that there were no Ciders to be found in Diagon Alley. Those are some of my favorite drinks in IOA. Although I will say that the vanilla lemonade was a nice substitution. :) Next time you guys go try the lemonade you'll be happy you did
