Took my first trip to Diagon today. My first impression is that I think it's a lot more impressive than Hogsmeade. It's also bigger and a lot more space. Knockturn Alley was cool and kind of hidden. I liked that.

Going tomorrow again then taking the train over to Hogsmeade so then I can make a determination what I like better. I think right now it's in favor of Diagon. But also it's new and fresh, we've had Hogsmeade for what, 4 years now? The dragon is really impressive too. The pictures don't do it justice.

Main attractions I might give the edge to Forbidden Journey. I just wish Gringotts was a little bit faster and had more thrills

Cool, I was there as well :)

Diagon all the way, Hogsmeade lacks the realism. Knockturn Alley is my favorite part :)
I finally got to see the dragon breathe fire yesterday!

What do you think of the Hogwards' Express? I like it as a means to travel between the parks, but as a ride it is bad ...

As a Harry Potter fan, I love the train. If anything I just love the peacefulness of sitting down, enjoying air conditioning, and enjoying some impressive projection effects. The train solidifies the experience for me. It's simple but sweet. It's a convenient way to see both parks so I love that.

Trains a nice little ride. It's a cool illusion. One minute you're in IOA then you see some graphics then a few minutes later your at the Studios, and vice versa. I think having 2 lands now including the train really solidifies the Wizarding World. I always felt it was too small back when Hogsmeade opened, now it is the definitive Harry Potter experience for fans.

It seems that either WB or Uni legal has a problem with revealing sources and methods. Seems silly, but they are the bucks that made it happen. They have their plans.

Gringotts has been a MESS the past 48 hours... Got in line twice yesterday, made it all the way to the stairs the first time and it went down. After roughly 2 hours they evac'd the queue and gave us return time tickets. Came back about 3 hours later, got in line, made it to the security photo op and down. We left after 30 minutes. Today while I am not there am hearing the same thing with long down times.

Do we have any idea how much longer they will be experiencing these issues? Sounds like they've still got a long way to go before they get it running smoothly.

After letting it sink for a few days I gotta say, Diagon Alley is really beautiful. The theming exceeds Hogsmeade in my opinion. Just a gorgeous area. Last opportunity to ride Gringotts tomorrow so I'm hoping those issues are sorted out

The ride was breaking down a lot today but most break downs only lasted 5-10 minutes. Also the wait times were very reasonable and went between 45-90 minutes.

I rode twice and sat in row 4 and had bad audio once. I let them know.

Now that school is generally back in session everywhere, what have the crowds been like in the parks? I'm sure that after the holiday weekend things might drop off even further, but just curious what things are like, especially in Diagon since I will be there starting Sept 10. Can't wait to check out Diagon for the first time!

What's the deal with the large figure with the top hat in the window for the Weasleys' shop? Last few times I've been he hasn't been lifting his top hat? Is that functioning at all these days?
