I don't see why they couldn't close one park earlier and still keep the train running- they can pretty effectively close off the area around the entrance to each train station, so if one park was closed, they could just funnel people back through the station for a return trip and not allow them to enter the rest of the park. I guess staffing wise it might be kind of weird, where if Hogsmeade TMs are considered IOA employees, but the park is closed, how do they handle those hours, etc.

I do think how they proceed from HHN will be very interesting. I know Tyler Durden's point makes quick sense, but look at this from the point of view of an international tourist. You travel from Europe for this, but they close the line for Gringotts at 3 pm if it has a 2 hour wait? I mean that's kind of crazy. I think that you would have many complaints from people spending almost 100 dollars for a single day admission.

I know this sounds crazy, but I wonder if they have considered keeping DA open for HHN, but not for HHN, but for general park goers. Basically put up a temp wall that keep people who came over on HE funneled into DA and people who are are in DA would be funneled out to HE and into IOA. I would allow them to make more money by having more parts open past 5 PM. They have never been able to do something like this in the past because nothing has been closed off as much as DA is and there has never been a way out of the park. They could do this since everyone can ride HE.

I think that would rub a lot of people the wrong way if they did that. They could certainly do that since the fence that is set up is essentially exactly what you describe. I think if it did happen you would have the normal park goers unhappy with the rowdier HHN crowd right outside of London, and the HHN crowd would be upset that they paid for a special event and can't go see the new big thing.

Well the HHN crowd would be mad either way because DA will never be open for the HHN crowd. It won't be allowed and was probably in the contract originally signed by Uni. But you might be right about the rowdier crowds part. I have not been to DA yet, so I am not sure how separated it is and how much they would be exposed to the HHN crowd.

For HHN and during HHN are two different things.

Now I doubt they would do this, but I would be interested to see if the idea was ever talked about. It would be an interesting way to keep the crowds in Uni to spend more money and keep HE open.

I hope they keep Diagon open during HHN not so much for the event itself but more to absorb some crowd to keep the house wait times lower for us

I wounder if they'll do wrist bands this year for HHN..that way they can tell who's supposed to be in and who's supposed to be out..The ghouls don't really come out in droves until after like 6:30 or so..so that would give folks an hour and a half to escape from Gingotts..and the park..plus they could always be funneled into the Hogwarts Express

It would be nice is they kept the stores open. It would seem to make sense financially. But it has been stated several times on here that DA will in no way be open at all for HHN.

Here is a good in-depth look at Shutterbuttons photo shop in DA:

The staff directs your action in front of 12 digitally inserted backgrounds. Currently you can only purchase a DVD, but they will eventually be selling actual digital photo frames with your moving pictures inside! As well as an MP4 option so you can insert the movies into your own frame. The youtube video above shows what the frame will look like that they sell. This is great news because I thought the DVD would be the only option.

I'd like to watch but for some reason there doesn't seem to be any audio on that... Is it just me? My phone has sound on everything...

Edit: I looked it up on YouTube and heard it fine, looks like a really cool experience. I'd probably only do it with the frame though, sells the experience for me...

Wow, that is so cool. We'll definitely do that when we visit in September. And thanks for the info, didn't know that existed.

FYI: Don't bother watching that video from the beginning... it is loaded with ads and self-promotion long before you get to the actual content. The good stuff starts at around 11:30.

I assumed they were selling photo frames already. I'll probably check it out when those are ready, because the DVD seems like a waste of time and money to me.

Hey guys! So there's been some switching of plans. It's likely that we won't be going Tuesday due to someone's lack of foresight. I may oray not be going this weekend and will have hotel express access along with early access. Obviously express won't help with anything in Diagon, but I figured I'd ask what crowds will be like Friday, Saturday, and Sunday... We will likely be there Friday afternoon, so I know crowds will be pretty big then. After that it's early access. Hoping to spend most of the weekend just doing both wizarding worlds and really exploring the area...

The crowds in Diagon Alley are not that bad from what I've experienced. It's the crowds and waits for Gringotts that will get you.
