Knew this was coming but it still stings a bit. Kumba was my first big boy coaster and was the ride that changed my life. It was the rollercoaster that got me hooked, became a lifelong love and interest for coasters, themeparks, and attractions. It was my gateway.
Many of you are too young to understand the impact this coaster had on the Coaster wars of the 90s. It’s a piece of coaster history and I’m sad to see it go, but I understand why. I won’t be able to make it out there for one final ride, but I hope that everyone that does truly enjoys it.
I hope they auction off some parts of the attraction or if it heads to the landfill if anyone knows a guy let me know.
Rip to the Roar of Kumba
