The Intamin Family coaster that's going into all the SWP

Honestly BGT and SWO could benefit from one

If SWO is getting one in 2024, I don't see BGT getting one in 2024. Or Possibly at all for that matter. I'm super curious about the long-term plan for BGT.

Any idea what might replace this, or are there no immediate plans?

Yea, they definitely seem to count them as complimentary experiences.

A Fury style Giga or single rail (if they can make the capacity work) make sense to me. Revive Jungala and stick it back there. The water rides are getting pretty old. Maybe that launched flume will come at some point.

A launched flume would be interesting. I'm all for it if they build a pathway that connects SheiKra to Pantopia.

I really hope it's not another thrill coaster. The park really needs more low intensity options.

Does anyone with knowledge of BGT BoH know why BGT is hesitant on connecting Gwazi Park to the Nairobi section of the park - effectively creating a connection halfway through the park to reduce unnecessary walking? It seems like Gwazi Park is used most of the time now and it wouldn't surprise me if they build a more permanent amphitheater/stage soon, might as well make a permanent walkway from Nairobi.

There's just one tiny road that could easily be rerouted.

There's so many possibilities here, it's almost not funny.
  • Project Jethro Phase 2
  • TreeTop Trails/Jungala Ride
  • Replacement for SandSerpent and/or Phoenix (RIP)
  • The major impending Kumba decision that's gonna hit them in 2024 or 2025.
  • That hotel that has been discussed

I had heard that the Nairobi section residents were a little cliquish, standoffish, and didn't like eye contact. Thus, park officials were not too keen on connecting with Gwazi and creating a bad situation.

Actually, i have no idea. That area appears to have some backstage areas separating the two areas but that is based on a Google map search. I haven't been to BGT in a few years and cannot remember that area. The big thing I do recall is that the park's layout is a little funky due to the safari section. Getting to Montu from the main gate is easy but getting from there to the other areas is either a very long walk or taking the train (or Skyride if open). As I said, I may not be thinking of the same area to which you are referring.

If I had to guess Phoenix will be replaced with a bar. I don't see them spending for a new flat ride when they're just about to open one.

I hope not. Flat ride is a dirty phrase in the Central FL market, so they should be readily willing to fill the niche. Small wins add up and make a difference when that big coaster comes around. IG brought me back, but I don't have any reason to stay and spend money other than the usual enjoyment of favorites. Falcon and in the future Serengeti Flyers do make me want to stick around as fun rides I don't have to queue forever for (though SF will probably be a long wait, that may change if they added more flats).

Isn't there a bar near there already?

There is, but this seems to be the trend for the SeaWorld parks lately.

It would make sense since it is a small space, and the area does have a few rides anyway. Personally though, I think this would be a good location for a top spin.

Top spins are being removed from just about every Six Flags and Cedar Fair park, I don't see Busch adding one.

I imagine it's just not in the cards right now, only thing on that path are some zoo offices and a classroom, and off to the side is a maintenance warehouse which is far enough out of the way to probably keep.

There are some better Zamperla options that they could look into

The problem I have with flat rides is that some of them can feel like an endurance test and are built for those with an iron stomach

However, just in the last few years it seems there are better options that have been rolled out

A NebulaZ or Mini Frisbee are my choices
