Makes sense for a water park. I know of a few parks that have gone cashless as a means of speeding up purchases and removing error/theft in money handling.

I think this is totally fine, although it's a strange move to do this AFTER getting rid of TapuTapu lol

I think cashless is the way to go, but I just find the removal of TapuTapu (or lack of replacement) bizarre from a revenue perspective. I understand from the queue perspective, but its a pain to go back to your locker, retrieve your phone, head to the bar, return phone to locker and then on to whatever you want to do.

Same at just about any other water park, how they haven't come up with a cheap RFID solution is beyond me.

Customer paying with cash: "Hold on. I need to wring this money out. Sheesh. Oh no, now the bills are stuck together. Shoot."

Meanwhile, the customers waiting in line are already planning on holding this guy's head underwater.

Kings Island has been cashless for years. It's not really a big deal. They have a way to turn your cash into a card.

I went to Volcano Bay for the first time since the removal of Tapu Tapu last week, and it impacts the experience more than I thought it would. Volcano Bay now feels very much like any other water park in Florida - or the world - where it used to have a bit more of a premium feel to it due to the Tapu Tapu system. Maybe it was a weird placebo thing, but I always felt it was a bit special in that way.

Fairly disappointing: they’re building new cabanas that block access to the expansion pad. They also paved a parking lot on the expansion space.

Rules out any near future growth of the park

When they owned Wet n’ Wild they added numerous attractions over the years. We’re hitting 10 years of nothing new

Or it will be the start of a second (Epic) waterpark where they put "water" in the waterpark...
