I heard that back to the future exists somewhere around the Universal Orlando resort it has memorabilia or a statue of something BTTF related. As for Jaws you can still take a picture with Bruce at USF. I hope that’s something that will stay and never leave Universal Orlando. It’s not like their gone forever but i understand that is the closest thing we will get in terms of bringing back memories to these 2 beloved franchises. No more new theme park attractions from either one I get it: a retro land or world at a fourth gate would just draw in a low attendance of Universal guests and the park would basically be pretty empty on the side of the fourth gate while everyone else is experiencing new and upcoming fresh in your mind Universal IP’s.

Are you sure the Meg will go into Universal Studios Beijing and Jaws in 3D? Both shark franchises? Or just a guess? That’s if universal allows another WB property.

I just want to say I really hope Ready Player One gets nowhere near the parks, what a mess of a film.

Lets be real. The only ride that’s worth bringing back would be a revamped Jaws. Even then it wouldn’t happen do to the issues.

I think Jaws would do well as a dark water ride...but I also think that unless they completely recreate the original ride, there will be blood in the water. People are very nostalgic about Jaws.

JAWS and Kongfrontation were honestly the best possible realizations of those films that I think we could hope to see. With today's technology and advancements, it would be amazing to see how they'd turn out if built again. The USJ version of JAWS is a good example - build less than 6 years after the second version opened in Orlando, they learned what didn't work there and ironed out the flaws. The animatronics are 17 years old and functioning more effectively than Florida's were in 2011 (which isn't difficult, to be fair). As much as I'd love to see it - I just don't think we will.. at least not in this new park.

We already have a new Kong ride. A new Jaws ride would be a leap similar to that. How cool would a Jaws ride be with the Shanghai Pirates ride system?

A system like that would probably allow them to come close to reliably achieving the "shark pulls the boat" effect from the first version of the Jaws ride.
