And as usual this discussion is redundant. My mom (73) didn't care much about Potter and hate Spider-man with a passion, but you need to promise a very large box of chocolates from Toothsome chocolate emporium to get her moving away from it and you probably succeed after 3 hours.

Guys, let's stop with the "is Fantastic Beasts 2 good or not", the point is that the Harry Potter lands print money like no other, that's where Universal is gauging success.

Take it a step further and Potter is helping finance a good chunk of a new resort and gave the increased footfall to allow it to happen.

Point of curiosity: is it still the case that all the construction is being paid for solely off of butter beer money?

If people think that turkey legs could pay for FP+ then I don't see why not. At the worst case scenario, it certainly paid for the HP coaster.

Really any HP merch is just printing money at this point.

Margins on wands have to be hefty, and Im sure they sell one or two of those things a day.

You could build several coasters with the profits from hogsmeade giftshops easily.

New Harry Potter coaster: financed by Harry Potter Coasters. get your Ravenclaw coaster and make sure you never leave water rings from that Ravenclaw pint glass you bought!

I wouldn't call Solo crappy, it was just the most unnecessary thing they could've done. The entire movie felt pointless.

I did enjoy it more than TLJ so that’s something I guess

Very unnecessary though. Pretty much no interest to see it again.

EDIT - As an example: If Mike Aiello post a screenshot of a house layout, it's an announcement/controlled leak. If I post it, then it's an actual leak.

Got something to leak there?

They sell about three, if my knowledge is correct.
Nah, I wonder how many wands are purchased a second time due to a kid forgetting their wand at home. Heaven forbid poor little Jimmy can't wait in line to do magic like the other kids! *insert money emoji that apparently does not exist to my displeasure*

I was the exact opposite (preferred TLJ to Solo). I think Solo did suffer from Star Wars fatigue, though. If it had been released about this time instead of back in May, it probably would have had a bit of better fanfare (plus, more time to make sure it was high quality).

Because only the first part was relevant to his response? I'd have done the same. It doesn't seem like a knock on what you said, but economy of reading.

Back to the topic of Gate 4..

One thing I am interested when it comes to Universal Monsters, is simple: What direction do they go with? There are a ton of different angles that the Monsters have had since when they took over the world, and Hollywood recently pulled out a brand new rendition with those from Universal Pictures themselves.

Perhaps we could see a similar situation that UM had at HHN; collaborating with an outer contact to make the best designs that can work with a themed environment that's year round?

So I've just been going crazy speculating if the icon for the whole property was a themed hotel. Now hear me out, if it's the first thing you see driving down the Kirkman extension in the last half mile from the existing resort. Then it's the center focal point from the entrance of the themepark, al la the JP Discovery Center. It could start out physically larger than any themepark castle and still use forced perspective to make it look even more massive. I'd call it the weenie goat. The interior could be segmented maybe with the lower levels only accessible to themepark guests and upper levels only accessible to hotel guests, having separate entrances..

I am expecting a pretty grounded looking monsters cast, but nothing like the Tom cruise movie or Dracula untold either. but please LEAVE GILL MAN THE SAME :))

on the other hand if I walk into a universal park and see Draculas castle off in the distance, I might cry.
