Since a Universal Executive literally stating they are tieing attractions to Universal's upcoming film slate starting in the next two to three years...add in Legacy stating 25 IPs being represented.

Looking at the films for 2022, they only have dreamworks, illumination, and JW on the schedule so I'm guessing those three are the tie ins for the new park...

Lastly why would Universal buy Hotel Translyvania when they already own Universal Monsters, Monster High, Munsters, and as of 2012 own comic strip version of the Addams Family

I’m not sure if this has been a discussion. Probably was in the beginning. But, does anybody like the rumored name Fantastic Worlds?

I feel it’s a little odd, but I actually do like it a lot. Sounds very marketable.

Well, I did say that Universal would never bother with it...

One thought would be if Sony contemplates further of selling it's Pictures branding, and considering how much Fox will blow TWDC back, it may be plausible for Universal to strike in and get it at an affordable and reasonable price.

__

As far as Japanese Animation is considered, the closest UPR gets to that on a large scale, would probably be Pokemon (and Sanrio). Outside of that, I'm not entirely sure if it'd be a good idea to continue forward in that regard.

Clifford was cancelled and moved to Paramount due to Chris Meledandri not wanting to make that film anymore.

Brian Roberts and Jeff Shell already hinted at the fact this week that they mainly went after Fox due to the amount of assets and Disney getting them for a cheap discount. The way things were worded made it seem they would only want another studio if they price was low enough.
Comcast CEO disappointed in what Fox deal said about Comcast

I would argue that if Anime was to come it would be the biggest ones Universal has already worked with....One Piece, Dragonball, Sailor Moon, and Ghibli. Additionally if Comcast bought Sony, I would see Universal using anime as Sony owns over 500+ Anime properties.

Kinda bummed by that. A Clifford play area could have been fun.

I am all in on a Doctor Doolittle ride though.

I believe that Dolittle is part of the new "cross platform promotion", aka synergy, thing Universal was talking about recently.

I dropped a hint the other day. "Spider Monkey Island"

I would put School of Good and Evil (A take on fairy tales in which heroes/villians are sent to schools to be good and evil) Wizard of Once, and House With a clock in its walls as these are all book franchises already and on Universal's upcoming film slate

Very good points. I'm hesitant to put those, mostly because there hasn't been a hard indication/rumor that they'll be coming. The stuff on the list are things I've seen heavily intimated in some capacity or rumored before.

Now, I would love to see Oz. I think it would be a great add.

But in reality, I think these lists can start guiding us into the park's "structure." We know there won't be 25+ lands for each of the IPs represented, so where do a couple of these one-offs fit? Specifically, how does Ready Player One slide in? I doubt it would get it's own "land." And Jurassic World is likely ONLY going to be represented by a gyrosphere ride (if it happens). Because MAYBE, when we talk about it being "like Magic Kingdom," it'll be truly "like Magic Kingdom" in that the attractions aren't grouped by "IP" but rather more thematically.

What do I mean?

Our Worlds:

Story World - Featuring rides and attractions commonly related to our favorite stories and books. These IPs focus on source material.
  • Shrek/Far Far Away
  • Doctor Doolittle
  • Oz
  • Ready Player One (See the structure of this?)
  • Fantastic Beasts
World of Monsters - These IPs are fairly obvious. They're the things that feature characters that should visually startle/concern us.
  • Classic Monsters
  • Godzilla
  • Jurassic World (it's a little loose, but applicable)
  • Yoshi (he's a dinosaur too)
Dream World - Visit the distant places you've only imagined. These IPs are themed around their more realistic locations (except Kirby... but Dreams). Middle Kingdom, Berk, and the planets of Star Trek are very inspired by REAL places instead of the absurd/fantastical).
  • Kirby (he literally lives in "Dream Land")
  • Kung Fu Panda (Middle Kingdom)
  • How to Train Your Dragon (Berk)
  • Madagascar
  • Star Trek could slide into here
World of Play - Relive your happiest memories. These IPs are based the sensation you're suppose to relate to them.
  • Mushroom Kingdom/DK Jungle
  • Sanrio/Hello Kitty
  • Sing
  • Trolls

There are a couple of IPs that could slide into a couple of slots: LotR could expand into Dream or Story. Bikini Bottom, Croods could fit in Dream or Play. Donkey Kong and Yoshi could slide in "Monsters," Dream, or Play.

But THIS is actually how Magic Kingdom is structured. They don't have a "Pixar Land" in MK. They slide the IP into a thematic setting. Maybe our blue-sky thinking on this needs to really expand.

Somewhat similar to the idea I had except we'll see a Nintendo Land (I don't think we will see the Nintendo stuff get spread out), some type of Sci-Fi City, a Fantasy realm with a mix of DreamWorks and any other IPs, a Horror Land and a "Adventureland" for JW and anything else.

Good point. Perhaps an option and just deciding on whether to pick up the option. But with two similar property rights with HTTYD and Zelda, the exercise on the option is probably a low percentage possibility.

Oh my gosh this post deserves five stars. This would be a really good structured park however I do believe Nintendo properties will be grouped into one land.

Just give me a Godzilla experience. That’s all I ask. It could even be a basic walk through where Godzilla pops up like that one comic con experience.
