I like the Indominus rex. And I'd be really excited to ride the Gyrosphere. (Yes, even if it was mostly screens.)

River Adventure never spoke to me the way a Ford Explorer tour would have, or even the boring hatchery "ride" from the original JP film. I want to experience things from the films.

And I couldn't care less if there was two lands with the same IP at the same resort. I know I've mentioned it before, but why doesn't anyone think it's weird that Toy Story has two shooter attractions at the same resort?

I'm not a fan nor have I watched any movie/shows about this, but the idea of having Star Trek at the resort has gone quiet. If it's not coming into the 3rd park, I'm sure it's in Uni's head for the future.

I think Star Trek will need a significant boost in relevance before Uni shells out the money that's needed to secure the rights.

I mean, a ton of stuff falls in this category with this subject. I don't think the general public really cares about the differences between JP and JW nor sees them as "different ips". There is likely gonna be as much a dividing line wrt this with the general public too as with enthusiasts if the new park opens up with more Jurassic and Harry Potter stuff , and it very well could or couldn't matter depending on how Universal pitches this park and the very likely fact in any case Mario/Nintendo will headline this park , be all over the marketing and be the differentiating factor in this park being seen as "more IoA" .

They’re two different IP’s, though. Yes, there’s similarities, but they’re still different. Spongebob will always be spongebob.

The new park is essentially IOA 2.0 anyway, so comparing it to me is not really an issue

Besides, I think there is enough variance between the parks that you can differentiate them

I think this is more Zelda than Metroid/Pikmin. And Mario hasn’t been done a bunch of times by a bunch of different parks.

To be fair, I'd be thrilled with either. Both work well.

Everywhere the Spongebob IP has been used has been low quality and we would've been better off if it didn't exist. I don't know why you're so hung up on it being done elsewhere. The point is Universal hasn't done it which is where it would actually be done justice. The CN stuff may interest you, but it very likely won't stir up interest in anyone that isn't a fan, unlike Spongebob, which has cross-generational appeal.
