We need fresh meat! Who has any left-field ideas no one is talking about? I get the feeling Universal is gonna shock us with some things no one is thinking about for the new park.

Think forward, not backward. What's the future, not the past? What will last long enough in the cultural zeitgeist that it's worth building a ride or land for?

So what people are not talking about is jaws and back to the future right? And Ghostbusters. Its not possible for Universal to turn back the clock and make this 4th gate into classics but with a different take on them?

Possible? Sure. A good business situation? No. There's a reason the old attractions closed. Uni won't bring them back without a business reason to do so

Throwing my hat into the Fantastic Worlds prediction pile...
- Entry area is World Crossroads. A small plaza beside the park's mountain-themed park icon, that cleverly acts as both a picturesque focal point for the park and as a divider between the worlds.
- A huge draw of the park is Super Nintendo World; a packed 20-acre world featuring Nintendo Plaza in the center, which leads into the lands Mushroom Kingdom, the Kingdom of Zelda, or Pokemon City.
- The most family-friendly area is the World of Dreamworks; featuring the quaint worlds of Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon, tied together by the DreamWorks Center.
- The thrill center of the park is Sci-Fi World, a wondrous city of tomorrow that contains districts based off Star Trek, Godzilla, and Doctor Who; the centerpiece of course being Sci-Fi City.
- Of course, Wizarding World of Fantastic Beasts, featuring three separate areas based off iconic locales from the franchise, tied together by a unique indoor plaza themed to Newt's briefcase menagerie.
So basically, each of the main four worlds includes three mini-lands and a plaza in the center to tie them all together. I'll possibly go more in-depth with attraction ideas later.

This is already perfect and makes use of the word "worlds"...I think each land will have a hub and spokes design all around a main hub and spokes design

I mean, what do we mean by "Horror"? Uni Monsters? Because I absolutely think they have a good chance of popping up

I'll cry

They've honestly been selling a ton of Universal Monster merch during Halloween at Target, Wal Mart, etc...People like spooky things (see Knockturn Alley)

They're going to have to try hard to differentiate it from Port of Entry

I honestly think it will be similar to DisneySea

I love Ghostbusters and BTTF, but neither really need to come back.

I'm personally hoping for an attraction or attractions based off the Matrix. Warner Bros. is planning on rebooting it over the next few years. :) But that's just me, and I know there's a high chance that won't be the case.

On ok Idk it would just seem cool too see a giant marshmellow AA in a Ghostbusters attraction the green slime thing coming to life the dog with the red eyes seeing that all in one attraction would be pretty cool. And see BTTF as a launch coaster. Jaws Amity Island setting would be a beach setting. None of this is possible.

Well I did ask, what is the future, not the past, in my post. I am seeing a lot of people talking about classic rides like Jaws and BttF,on here, Facebook, and comments on YouTube.

I do not see any classics coming back, nor do I see new rides based on old films like those.

Maybe it's too hard for us to come up with new ideas because we're still stuck on the ones we grew up with at the parks? I miss Jaws and BttF too, but I want to make new memories.

Having said all that, I'd love to see original rides that aren't based on IPs in the new park... But with the shaky history of Beastly Kingdom and the slow death of Lost Continent, it's pretty clear the theme parks of Orlando are afraid to even try anymore.

None of the classics, then? Hmmmm.

Like @JungleSkip said, I can see DC Comics come into play somehow. But there won't be any rides based solely on Batman and Superman. Those have been done time and time again, so they're getting old. They can be in an attraction that includes multiple superheroes and meet & greets, stuff like that, but not in their own rides.

Instead, focus on the likes of the Flash (how does he not have a major ride in the US? HOW? Movie or TV series, doesn't matter), Aquaman, Wonder Woman, the TV shows (both animated and live-action), and Shazam could work nicely as a show.

Other than that, I could see Ready Player One, Nickelodeon, or Cartoon Network.

After the disastrous results at VB, I seriously doubt anything like this will happen. I think it was definitely a plan at one point, until VB opened.

I still think there's an outside chance something like DC Comics ends up here. Or Loony Tunes. Or both. I think there's a ton of potential for merch sales. I don't know what Six Flag's restrictions look like for markets they're not in though. I feel like some property like these will show up

Thank god. I don't think Tapu Tapu is necessarily a bad idea for a water park as there's things to do while not riding like the wave pool, lazy river etc but not in a theme park.

I like Ready Player One... Like Avatar, that could be a land/ride that's more liked than the movie. (Plus, the best case scenario for getting BttF in a new ride somehow lol.)

Not sure DC comics could be involved in a resort that already has Marvel rides. Just doesn't seem like something either company would allow.

I've read the Marvel contract a while ago, but don't remember anything precluding it in there, though I may be misremembering. I don't see why either company would mind. If they were in the same park? Sure. But they're both going to make merch and ticket money off the respective lands, so I dunno what the issue would be.

I don't see why either side would have a problem with DC coming in. If it were in the same park, I could see why. But these are two different parks separated by two miles.

If I owned DC I wouldn't allow it. Spider-Man is in every commercial for the resort, on the shopping bags at gift shops, and is featured across all marketing. But hey, that's just me.

Plus, Universal already tried to work with them in the 1990s, and it did not go well, so I wonder if there's still bad blood?

And, ya know, the fact that DC has named rides in Six Flags parks all around the country, makes it less appealing to Universal in the first place.

All good points. But the characters are still insanely popular and profitable, most fans would agree they are seriously under-served at Six Flags, and a "real life" Gotham City would probably have people lining up around the corner to get in. It's a long shot, for sure, but I would consider it if I was Uni, assuming they could make it work

While I would lov Gotham City it just doesn’t seem likely. Now if Disneyhead was actually hinting at WB coming than Scooby and Looney Toons would be a good get. Those seem to fit more with the audience the new park is point towards. Also would like a Scooby ride to have different “monsters” on different ride throughs.

Man, why didn't we get that coaster instead of Hulk? That looks awesome.

I still hope that we get DC, though. Back when SNW was supposed to go into KidZone, I had this cool idea for a indoor-outdoor ride that used the Mario Kart technology, racing through a real Gotham City. Although we definitely won't get that now.

I would also think that if WB is seriously being looked at for P304, if DC isn't on the table; Looney Tunes/Hanna Barbera would be great choices.

They would have characters like Bugs and Daffy to rival Mickey, and quite a few ride opportunities that would be great to see implemented.

Bugs and Daffy would not rival Mickey. And I'd argue that both Scooby Doo and Looney Toons are slowly losing popularity. It wouldn't be a good pickup for Universal, especially when you will have two other major kids IP's in the park (Nintendo and DreamWorks) and you could easily put in Nickelodeon or Illumination.

If we do see WB, it will be Fantastic Beasts and maybe DC. Nothing more.

EDIT: Maybe Ready Player One as well, but that's a very slim chance.
