Godzilla would be terrific, provided you can find the right sort of ride to use him in.

I think a Spider-Man/Transformers setup would really work for him, which would mean it'd probably be best for Park 3

Yeah, I'd agree with Park 3.

Give the ride a Reign of Kong-esque finale with a full(ish) size Godzilla head, and I'm in.

I would argue an enclosed simulator ala' Avengers IMG (but with y'know, a greater quality) would be a great choice.

Make it as if we are on a mission from Monarch and that it can incorporate Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah, with the enclosed vehicle similar to Avengers IMG but with Transformers like movement and you got an attraction that could be not only a perfect mix for the king of all monsters, but a potentially intense and intimate experience as-well.

I believe Universal part owns Legendary Pictures right? That would mean we'll probably see a movie adaption

They have a distribution partnership with Legendary, but the Godzilla/Kong franchise is under WB.

If Spider-Man ever had to go from USJ, I think that could be a huge property to have there as well.

I think the bigger hurdle would be Toho, but luckily they already worked with Toho once for a temporary Shin Godzilla attraction at USJ

It's interesting seeing Universal Parks and Resorts expand to 5 resorts by 2020 as it should hopefully see a massive reduction in development costs across the board.

What are some Universal IPs that would better better in the indoor land than outdoor?

None, IMO. All of them would be better outside.

In heinseight, for Universal..I'd say Dragons or Minions (Gru's lab to be percise).

If DMMM didn't already happen, I could of easily seen something fully indoors, with themed family flats and a fun and immersive dark ride.

And as for Dragons, as much as I want Berk to be massive, I get a vibe that more intimate confines of a large showbuilding..would actually blend well with the IP.

I thought a Monsters land that was like Knockturn Alley would be fun, and air conditioned haha

Oooh, I like the sound of that!

Maybe even take a page from the Mexico pavilion at Epcot -- have the Classic Monsters land (actual name TBD) housed inside a massive showbuilding. Inside, it's perpetually night, with several areas serving as the gateways to multiple attractions: a replica of the European streets sets from the Universal backlot that stood in for so many villages in the monster movies...
PDVD_030.BMP

... perhaps the fog-shrouded forest from THE WOLF MAN...
wolf-man-1941-crop.jpg

... and maybe even the iconic, grand entry hall of Dracula's castle...
dracula31042.jpg

And I'd unabashedly rip-off Hogwarts and put the whole pavilion inside a forced perspective version of this:

That's what I was thinking...put in a spooky speak easy Monster bar and a high tech E-Ticket and fans will never complain again

I also thought about JAWS being rebuilt and enclosed so they could have it at night during a storm.....But that's purely my brain just having fun

We need a 4th park preview center! I remember all the hype walking through the IOA one in the 1990s, and getting the passport stamped. Good times.

I feel a preview center would be more successful in the age of social media
