I'm surprised DreamWorks is second and Fantastic Beasts is last. I can't picture DreamWorks being that good.

Considering the two big locations that'll likely pop up, Berk and Far Far Away..yeah, it has the potential to be that good.

__

From the things I get the impression of,

1: Nintendo
2: DreamWorks Animation
3: Universal Monsters
4: Fantastic Beasts

I don't think FB will be lacking, but considering the 3 above it, there is a lot of potential on the table for those, especially DWA and Nintendo.

Yea, I don't think FB will be *bad*, per say. I just think it will be kind of more of the same.

And honestly, that's not even a bad thing.

If it takes the Ministry ride from USF, and expands it to encapsulate all of the other departments globally; it could give an edge to this ride that we haven't seen from others. Combine that with either a highly immersive Pre-Depression New York/Paris and it could be a hell of a way to introduce art styles unique to the park that USF hasn't explored with.

If it means it's just 'good' for the others to shine, then so be it.

Personally I just hope their isn't a land that you walk through and say to yourself "well this will be the first area to be replaced"

Doesn’t have to be. Shanghai Disney has expansion pads that are part of the park and guests can currently walk through them if I recall correctly. They’re basically connecting paths through nothing.

I love the idea of a preview center, I just don't see it happening. When you can have videos posted online and reach more people than will ever pass through a preview center and save a ton of money on it, why bother with a physical place (which most likely would just show the videos on screens anyway)?
Don't dismiss the good a preview center can do. Most people in the parks aren't going to know that there's a new park happening AT ALL until it's close to opening. Just like Walt Disney Presents, if you can get a space where thousands of people pass through each day and can see physical models of things going into the park, it helps people get an idea of what the park will look like and thus, building HYPE.

Sure youtube videos will reach more people, but i'd argue that a preview center will make a larger IMPACT, especially since the people in there are people who have already paid money to fly to Orlando and see your existing product. Let them see your future and get them excited to come back.

A theme park is a bit different than an attraction. They announced Volcano Bay 2 years out, albeit with a brief blurb that it's happening. I'd imagine we'd get something later on this year, but definitely something by 2020 with a short "it's happening" and maybe "anchored by Mario and other Universal properties" - but no specifics.

So VB probably announced their theme park in 2015 making it two years at least to build with its opening in late spring 2017. With Fantastic Worlds most likely we will hear a little bit of news with the new gate later this year but hearing the big news in 2020 taking at least 2-3 years to built targeting an opening around 2022-2023?

Keeping in mind that everything is execution-dependent, here's my ranking which tries to balance my relative interest in the properties with the ride possibilities:

1. Nintendo
2. Monsters
3. Fantastic Beasts
4. DreamWorks

For context, I care more about the Monsters than I do Nintendo (though it's close and they both hit my nostalgia buttons hard), but - given what we already know - Nintendo's rides will be awesome.

A dark ride tour through Newt's menagerie seems like a no-brainer for at least one attraction. That could be a slower, all-ages offering to compliment a more thrill-ride-centric Ministry of Magic attraction.

I think that a dark ride in Newt's suitcase would be "fantastic". I assume that's what you're going after there. It could be extremely expensive though if they went with AAs for a lot of the beasts.

Yes.

Go big or go home. Give us creature AAs or don't do it.

You don't even need all limbs functional - heck, the ZouWu could dangle from the ceiling on cables and bobble round, no one will be able to tell.

Yeah, I certainly don't think all - or even most - of the creatures would require super advanced, Kong-level AAs. One or two, sure, in centerpiece scenes of the ride, but I think they could get away with less dynamic figures as long as they're detailed in design and execution.

It might actually not be terrible to have some clean areas that are not themed to one of the lands - it would let people "rinse the palate" before running into the next land.

For those interested, @Alicia and Ian of ParkStop Podcast have published their recent episode, talking about the leaks of UFW, with some information to lead towards..

Edit: Looking at the logo, and I tried to make a form of..mock-up, of what seems to of been the used logo. Hopefully for those wanting an image as basis; it helps.

Well for all intents and purposes it was about 100 yard walk with trees to the left of you and trees to the right of you along the expansion where Kong went.

Another thing to consider is the "backlot set" that was replaced by KidZone. They could easily put in temporary theming that fits in areas to be used later.
