Ryan the Ride mechanic (who I wasn’t familiar with but, shockingly, is a ride mechanic has done a really interesting speculative video on what he thinks may be going on with Stardust. Far better than the click bait rubbish where people essentially say ‘it’s closed’ in different ways for 15 minutes:

I really like the 8:30 mark in this video. Ryan does good work (even if I don't agree with his CP opinions).

Yeah. Every vacation I notice a few confused guests in London. They're so happy when I point out the Diagon entrance to them.

Yeah, it seems like Ryan has a similar background to mine. I agree with his assessment that a mechanical failure of the bolt / structure seems most likely. The key to all of this will always be finding the reason for the failure and then addressing it.

IMG_0624.jpegWas looking at this cool photo from @bioreconstruct on X and noticed how dirty the walkways are from guests and vehicles driving on the midways during after hours. Primarily the red/orange paths.

Probably not too noticeable on ground but hope they get some power washers going!

What are the odds it actually opens the day it’s currently scheduled to?

Would would assume high if not earlier if it’s already testing with TMs on the ride.

Looking at stand by lines this week, it appears that Epic is the slowest I've seen in a long time. This is a prime Spring Break week, but even the IOA and USF levels are slow/moderate levels. I'm wondering if this is just an aberration, or a longer term trend for Universal. WDW seems to be fairly busy. Universal was busy last week. Weather looks decent.....Anyway, this week so far would be a great time to visit Epic.

Bit of a lull in Spring Break, given the weirdness of the calendar. Last week Florida and much of the South was off, Northeast (and probably much of Ohio/Midwest with a strong Catholic population) generally wait for Good Friday/Easter. Wouldn't read too much into this week. If the next two weeks are similar, more of a trend.

Canadians are into week two of spring break now (well at least BC is, not sure what other provinces have 2 weeks), but not sure if many are coming down right now.

A lot of Canadians are looking at Disneyland Paris this year from what I've been hearing.

There's historically a "gap" between early Spring Break (last week) and the later Spring Break schools with Easter holiday combined (next two weeks).

This week was expected to be relatively quiet (Disney had Pixie Dust blocked last week, unblocked this week, blocked for the next two weeks).

First two weeks of March were very quiet, so that means only one week in March (third week), thus far, has had good crowds.
