I mean this sincerely, you need to stop reporting rumors. If you wish to participate in the forums, please do so; however, you've continued to post incorrect rumors time and again that I'm going to have to ask you to stop.

It’s reaching the point where it’s reasonable to ask the question as to why they are giving reasonably short timeframes for closure to then get close to the end of that period and extend by a period equally as long.

Given it is now closed for a further 3 weeks you would think that it was obvious 1 week ago that it wasn’t going to be ready for 15 March yet nothing was said.

Very odd. Surely they can’t just keep doing this so it will either reopen when they say it will or something more meaningful will be said regarding its closure (even if that is as simple as the ride is closed without a current scheduled reopening date).

I work in aftermarket parts sales for a large company making large equipment. I can easily see unique and new components having issues with manufacturing or passing NDT and that ship date keep getting pushed back. Mack is probably telling Universal daily where the part (or parts) are in their process and alerting them of any issues. I imagine Universal will be talking to Mack about safety stock adjustments after this fiasco.

Yeah, I think two things can be true: The issue keeping Stardust Racers closed is not inherently "catastrophic," but the length and unpredictably expanding downtime absolutely is.

Bingo, a catastrophic issue is one where the coaster can't be salvaged. Using the wrong bolts on Volcano at KD was catastrophic on the structural scale. Not having backup parts or being able to make them reliably make them is a whole other issue.

As someone not super involved in the Coaster world. Is this super common for a brand new coaster to have these issues so soon in its life?

I can’t imagine they wanted to have any of these new rides down for so long, so soon?

Your inside sources have historically been extremely wrong, and the fear mongering isn't productive.

Surely if Mack were telling Universal daily where the parts are then they would have known a week ago that it wasn’t going to open though? This is assuming the issue is even down to parts that require replacement.

It’s not unusual for new coasters to have numerous issues but no, this level of a shutdown is something I personally can’t recall seeing.

Right, this coaster has a storied history already, and it’s not even into year two yet.

Import/export issues can become black holes for even basic shipments, if the issue is a part needing shipped over. If there are any manufacturing issues on top of that, well things get harder to nail down timing on. I do wonder what kind of part would have both sides shut down for this long without some other underlying issue.

Yup. Steel Curtain and X off the top of my head had major issues.

A LOT can happen in a week, especially when it comes to shipping things...especially this past week

Well whatever part they’re “waiting on” I hope they ordered more than one. Yikes.
