Plus, lack of APs. People can’t just pop in when they want.

Yeah, it's definitely both. It's late July at this point, and most everyone who wanted to go around the opening months has already done so, and won't be willing to drop another few hundred on a 1-Day pass. If you are still waiting, you'll probably hang back until Halloween or Holidays, or until admission is more accessible next year.

I’ve been planning my trip for November from the beginning. Hoping for better weather. I don’t think I can give Epic a fair assessment in the heat and humidity.

Apparently universal is having so much issues with guests arguing about loose article policies or sneaking items into stardust racers that they are considering removing racing mode

I was under the impression it’s people sitting on flip flops that’s causing the biggest issue—based on the number of signs added.

But didn’t think they’d take away racing mode.

Probably need a “guests in flip flops will not be permitted on this attraction policy”.

I’ve never understood how people can wear flip flops all day in a theme park. I understand changing for a water ride but there’s no way my feet could survive 10-12 hours in those things.

They should do what USJ does and provide shoe bands (basically just a rubber band they put around your shoe to keep it secure) to those with loose shoes if its really that big of a problem. It's a cheap solution that works.

The first part is kind of a “well tough crap” to the guest situation, the riding policy there is the policy.

What kind of things are guests sneaking? Phones? Is it something that upgrading the body scanners could work out?

I don’t want to end up calling this Stardust. It needs to race!

I didn't see arguing, but confusion on making people actually wear their glasses/sunglasses instead of just holding them. I think it's the only coaster at Uni that didn't let me hold mine.

I’ve never had a problem with my glasses on rides but I’m still deathly afraid of losing them. I finally bought a nerd strap for my November trip. I’d leave them in the locker but I can’t see anything without them

SeaWorld/BGT have cracked down on guests even further with ensuring they have straps. I think it's a policy they should enforce as sunglasses make up a good chunk of lost items lol

cedar point implemented a no flip flop/ non closed shoe policy for top thrill 2. no glasses either, unless there is a strap. very strictly enforced. i was there recently and half the ppl in line were barefoot. quite odd , but there is a precedent

I feel like universal has a strict shoes must be worn at all times policy, hence the signs warning people to keep flip flops on. I think some folks are used to sitting on them for coasters, but with airtime hills they slip right out—and that’s the danger to other riders in the other train.
