Wow, these parking signs are great. Much more textured and anachronistic than the usual flat panel signs you see at other parks.

Yeah some $10-$14 price points are likely only so cheap because they are snack sized. Quick service shouldn't necessarily mean every item is quick to eat lol.

highkey wish the weight of the food sold had to be advertised, it would be much easier to compare if not to the price per ounce of groceries back home then at least to other dishes in park to find the best value cross referenced with ones own personal tastes.

Quick service are entree-sized items, not meals. I think you're confusing 'snack-size' with counter service offerings. It's confusing how the parks label it, but quick service isn't a snack stand, it's restaurants like Minion Cafe, Mel's, Satu'li Canteen, etc.

It'll be interesting to see how Epic's quick service rank against the best offerings at UOR currently and WDW. I just really hope we get AP for Epic sooner than later. I can see myself dining at Das Stakehaus pretty often if I get the option too.

Based on F&B QSR Menus as of TM Preview... Epic Universe will have the most expensive Quick Service options in all WDW/UOR Orlando parks. Things can obviously change, but they're obviously trying to offer a more premium offering/product at Epic.

Overall $17.59
  • Pizza Moon $16.49
  • Oak & Star Tavern $18.16
  • Meteor Astropub $17.37
  • Mead Hall $17.99
  • Spit Fyre Grill $17.99
  • Cafe L'air la Sirene $17.19
  • Le Gobelot Noir $16.56
  • Das Stakehouse $18.89 -> most expensive
  • Toadstool Cafe $17.66

For reference, other WDW/UOR avg. Entrée pricing:
  • Magic Kingdom $12.75
  • Epcot $13.20
  • Hollywood Studios $12.88
  • Animal Kingdom $14.00
  • Universal Studios $16.25
  • Islands of Adventure $13.58

This data excludes large family platters.

I noticed the bowl I want at Spit Fyre Grill is more expensive than the highest priced bowl at Satuli Canteen, and it gave me pause. I consider Satuli a high quality quick service, with good serving sizes, but even their food doesn’t reach $20 a bowl.

So, it better be good :nervous:

Yeah, still a lot they need to announce like VIP tours, the fireworks show, and Express Pass.

Also, I know a save the date was sent out to the media for previews. Does anyone know that date(s) of that?

From what I understand, the park will not open with a firework show. The testing has been for the grand opening celebration. Hopefully my source is wrong.

That would be nonsensical considering how prominent they are in the concept art. But I guess they do have a bizarre aversion to long-running nighttime shows?

Minions to me is perfect when it comes to Quality + Price.

Or maybe Epic dishes are heavy on the eggs :)

Could you provide the restaurants you used to come to these prices for Disney? Not saying it's wrong, I'm just curious about the context.

Off topic, but Minions is so much better than it has any right to be. Unironically the best addition to USF in years lol

All quick service options at WDW. Anything that qualifies as a QSR location with WDW is my calc.

I now it's odd to see WDW quick service so cheap compared to other Orlando parks, but it's true. (It's why I tend to criticize Uni's ops more since they're charging more compared to WDW in their offerings).

My comment isn't meant to be a negative point against Epic, just an observation.

Yes, right value (except for the price of Minion tots), but very good for its offerings.

I'm not saying it's either or, just, and again, I've said this before, it's hard to get a fair comparison because there's a lot of missing context and nuance with the data - so I'm just trying to apply it myself to get a better understanding, especially with a different MO for the parks. For example, Epcot has 20 sit-down restaurants. Epic will have 2. Disney wants you to eat at a sit-down, instead of QS, where it seems Epic is trying to elevate the QS offerings.

The math technically maths, but it doesn't present the whole picture.

I haven’t eaten everything at Epic but what I have eaten is the best quick service food I’ve ever had. These aren’t the “cheeseburger, chicken finger, Caesar salad” menus of your parents’ theme parks. These are actual good tasting, well cooked, and well portioned dishes, some of which are themed to the lands in which they are served. Every time I go I’m just as excited by the prospect of finding a new dish to try as I am excited to experience the attractions. I fully expect the park will win awards for what they’re doing on the foods front.

That’s my point.

Spit Fyre is more than the most expensive quick service I go to at WDW, so it had better be worth it.

13.49 vs 16.99 for a chicken bowl. And people complain Disney World dining is too expensive.
