They obviously had way more space to work with at Epic but does anyone else feel like HTTYD would’ve worked just as well at IoA? Maybe it’s just the “Isle of Berk” sub name.

What's the buzz, tell me what's happening (JC Superstar). I'm sure the amount of iffy Epic info will soon be exploding.... I rarely pay much attention to anything other than the reliable posters and insiders on IU. ....I've always thought most of these secondary sites get their info from reading stuff here, and adding exaggerated emphasis/details to get clicks.

Good commercial taking advantage of a 'huge' audience. Five immersive lands is an appropriate presentation, flashing pics of IP's most everyone understands. I've been impressed with Universal's ads thus far. I'm guessing they're effective......No Universal Escape mistake here.

Instead of “I’m going to Disney World!” If they could pay Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift to say “I’m going to Epic Universe!” That’d sell out the park for the first year

Let’s hope so. From the get-go I thought a park called “Universal’s Epic Universe” was a bit confusing for the GP, and a land called Dark Universe doesn’t help.

Non-zero chance that people just see the ad campaign as “oh, Universal is Epic now.”

Islands of Adventure was not as confusing of a name and it still confused folks. It's just a matter of marketing. They're doing a great job specifying that it's a new theme park... so far...

The main draws, commercial wise, are Potter and Nintendo. The other three lands, while a bit familiar, will be strong draws once guests have set foot in the park and experienced them. There's not a weak land here.

Oh yeah, that’s 100% why I think the risk exists. But in turn I think the emphasis on Mario / SNW is really smart.

The new theme park distinction feels less significant. Every new addition is called a “new theme park” in traditional media and social media these days. But whether Mario and Potter are “new theme parks” or just new lands to the GP, they’ll still sell!

I couldn't really sit and watch, but there was a version of this on a tv in the background today. Seemed to be HP focused with the mom going into the land and doing things before coming back out to get the family. Based on this ad, they probably have versions for each land and different families.

Doubt they'll all be on the SB though.

Without wading into the "rigged" question, I do think it's certainly very possible that -- depending on how the game plays out -- many viewers will have stopped watching the broadcast by that point.

Obviously the spot will still live on via the internet, but Universal may not be getting its full money's worth in that late slot.
