Yeah, this is why I can't see the open Celestial working until the park is "closed" for the night. I could see the lands closing at, say 10pm with the fountain show, then Celestial staying open till like 2am and being open to anyone at that point.

My thoughts exactly. I can tell you right now, as someone travelling from the west coast of Canada (if and when I can travel to the US again), from the conversion to USD, cost of hotels, flights, park tickets… I would actively not choose Epic if at a certain time the main artery of the park is a clogged up mess.

I just don’t see them doing it. It cheapens the experience. It’s an old rumour, that I feel needs to be laid to rest.

Man, Sapphire Falls APH rates are all over for late September, early October. King Lagoon View cheaper than Standard 2 Queen. Standard 2 Queen at $260. Last several years it's about $180. Epic price bump is real!

We also go the first week of December. APH rate for a 2 Queen at Sapphire is $410???

I wonder if these prices are finally reflecting the jump into the Signature Collection tier for Sapphire?

Oddly enough i got a great rate for Terra Luna in Sept ($136). Go figure.

Alicia is right that this is not a black and white milestone. Construction work will continue (heck, there's multiple active construction projects going in a typical theme park that's been open for decades). I believe it's likely more of a change of "who's in charge of the site" in terms of priority, scheduling, traffic control. So, construction teams will have to get clearance for their activities from Operations, with Operations calling the shots as to what is allowed, when. This makes sense because when you talk about guests starting to be onsite (even TMs), they have to take priority...especially their safety. Operations will be able manage that better than construction.

But it is a key milestone, and it's very exciting to know we are close to hearing reactions and learning more what's going on inside all the buildings!

I do wonder if the first previews will have strict no photo or sharing info policies, and then get more lax as the previews open up from beyond Epic TMs only to all TMs. Etc.

I mean, I suppose they can hand it over to ops before it is really "ready".

Heck, I remember riding Gringotts in the first week after it opened and it wasn't ready! :lmao:

They are starting to run "Simulations", not "TM Previews". At least that is what they are calling them.

Just guessing but I think we may see the first actual "TM Previews" around 2/21 or so.

You'd be shocked how quickly last minute stuff comes together. The week before opening Disney World still didn''t havre lawns, some building not painted. In fact on opening day they were still laying sod at the Contemporary. During previews of EPCOT Center, 5 days before opening, there was literally no post show in World of Motion. By opening day it was all there :)

In this case the rides have been operating for months already. And only one is really a brand new ride system. Gringotts is (as one mechanic describe it) a Frankenstein of various stuff all thrown together

I think Epic will be slammed during HHN. A lot of people will wait till their HHN trip to visit Epic for the first time. And conversely, people booking their Epic trip will wait till HHN and do both.

I'm interested to see what it looks like! That could definitely be the case, but regardless of that I think Epic will still be lower crowd-wise than the summer, just purely based off the fact that less people come to the parks at that time! (at least in early/mid September)

I just hope the Potter ride is working. The new ride system doesn’t seem overly insanely complicated, so fingers crossed the ride system and AA’s are all working.

I’m (strangely) curious about one thing in particular: the grass. When is that going to get installed? :)

Very last thing. Not too worried about landscaping getting in on time. There's just a lot of concrete/electrical work still to do.

There will still be construction/pre-fab stuff going up between now and May 22nd, but they can work around that as long as the concrete stuff gets out of the way.

I'm waiting until November....ever patient. ....Mardi Gras will satisfy my thirst for now.

Kenan deserves early access since he’s been in the concept art!

What's the value of coming to post random X posts of unverifiable information from random sources?
