My biggest concern is going to be opening day vehicle traffic. The amount of roads and traffic lights you pass through just to get to the "gates" especially at the Epic Blvd intersection between Kirkman and the Roundabout to the east. At the northern parks you have two sets of gates they can open up (one for each garage). Epic only has the one.

And the funneling after getting through the gates seemed chaotic. Depending on which parking field they direct you to determines if you picked the right side upon entering the gates. When I got there they were directing everyone to the right and the northern parking area. But after a few seconds of merging they opened up the southern parking area again so everybody started merging left.

I think Opening Day won't be as chaotic as people think... I am worried about every other day though.

The roundabout on Epic Blvd is going to be fun to watch people maneuver around. The lights in the area are not set up to accommodate Epic arrivals/departures yet, so hoping the county addresses that soon. Also, the 528 exit onto I4 is going to become even more unbearable now with more traffic using that.

Looking back over the first few pages of this thread after all this time and seeing "Fanastic Worlds" just feels wrong at this point lol. I think they made the right call despite not liking it initially.

Seeing the buzz on short form video sites and social media shows why doing this more than a month ahead of opening was smart.

I saw some folks within our fandom questioning why not just wait till opening week… but this buzz will help fill bookings still open this coming Fall/Winter for sure. Very smart.

It's been a ride! We were given 1 week's notice for our Vendor preview. So turning around flights, hotel, car, etc. in a week was a rush. I went Thursday. Knew about the "no photos" and was perfectly fine with that. However, Park Ops was ROUGH on Thursday. Zero rides and 1 show. (I have already ridden everything during mock service so I was fine with that). The one downside was Stardust never opened. By the preview, it seemed like things were firing on all cylinders from other co-workers that went later.

The sun is brutal in the park. Definitely wear sunscreen and take breaks.

And Universal used to work really hard discouraging social media. Now social media is their marketing savior. How things change.

One day they’ll be like Disney and let people film rides too. As cameras evolve and get smaller and can strap on people’s chests, they’ll care less as time goes.

Right! I let my pass go because there was no way I was gonna pay nearly 300.00 to properly visit this park. I can wait and get/renew to have it included.

Epic is gonna be a HIT y'all. I'm seeing TikToks with millions, even tens of millions, of views and endless positivity and awe in the comments.. it's unlike anything I've seen for theme park content among "normies." The general public is really eating this up and they haven't even stepped inside! As long as the park can operate efficiently come opening season, this park is undoubtedly gonna be a grand slam right out the gate.

I saw Minecraft with my friend tonight (horrendous, but that's besides the point), and the Epic Universe ad in the pre-trailer reel really got him interested in visiting the park all the way from New York. Universal is pushing this HARD in a good way.

This is kind of a specific world question (Berk, Monsters) but since they have the same basis I decided to group them together and ask it here.

In Berk the Ice Dragon breathes a cold mist and In Monsters the Burning Blade windmill catches fire. I believe I heard that when the bell sounds in Monsters that you have 30 seconds till the windmill goes. Is this confirmed? And Is there a similar "tell" for the Ice Dragon animatronic? And are there any other special effects that are on a timer like these?

Also, has anyone seen the main statues in Berk with the fire effects? Is this a timed thing or a night thing or did they just drop the effect?

Still waiting for better ticket options for an early February 2026 trip. I want to be able to buy a 5-day pass and use it as I see fit.

The ice dragon breaths cold mist every few minutes. It's on a loop.

I ended up buying a season pass for the 2 parks and added single day epic tickets with express for 4 days for all 3 parks. With the room discount at stella nova our trip ended up being pretty reasonable. If Helios offered any perks outside the entrance we would have sprung for it. The walking path letting us avoid having to take a bus pushed us to select stella over terra. The room discount alone paid for one of our season passes. I ended up calling and talking my options through with a actual person. We typically stay at hard rock for that express and easy walking path.

Question for anyone that's been to a preview: how have the wait times been?

My wife and I got preview tickets for 5/4 and we will bring our 4 and 2 year old, so long wait times are probably a no-go. (My wife won't be happy if I sneak off to Ministry or Unchained for an hour plus and leave her with the kids LOL)

Any insight would be nice, with the understanding that wait times are probably highly variable at this point

Also universal has rough estimates of wait times on their apps for epic if go to attractions then sort to epic then sort wait times it should give u like 15 minutes or less etc and I could be wrong on this but I think once u are in the park u should get actual wait times on the app just when u are in the park though
