It was. Clear sky and Sunny. Stand in the sun and you could feel it, it was awesome.

Not so much today. It’s warmer but heavy rain and big gusts that rattle stuff you didn’t know rattled. Storm also on route “apparently”

Storm Goretti has brought 99mph (159km/h) winds and heavy snow to the UK, with tens of thousands of people left without power.

BTTF coaster is shut sadly, but Minion blast is open.

Apologies it’s off topic, but I’d love to visit Canada. It just looks and sounds awesome.

I agree, I’ve said from very early on, Universal should utilise the weather as part of the immersive experience.

I think it’s quite straight forward what they could do.

I think the fact they didn't call it Universal Europe Resort is a good sign Portaventura is still in with a really good chance

Press notice from HM Treasury regarding today's announcement. In 'new news' Comcast said today that they will invest a further £1Bn in the resort in the first 10 years after it opens.

Does £1Bn sound a lot if spread over 10 years? I'm not sure that it does sound like a massive phase two expansion?

World of Frozen cost about 2 billion euro. So 1 billion over ten years is more a couple of new smaller rides or attractions, rather than something big I would say.

Bringing these quotes over here.

Does the World of Frozen budget include the entire expansion area, or just Frozen itself?

If that's building out all the new infrastructure, lagoon, tangled spinner, night show, etc. etc., that makes sense.

If so, I feel £1Bn would still be a decent amount for expansion over a decade, especially for a brand NEW theme park?

Good question, not sure. It's hard to find any specific figures. It's sometimes given as part of a bigger €60 billion (or so) investment into DLP as a whole. I'd guess it includes a lot of the Adventure Bay work too though, because they want to put as big a number as possible on it for marketing reasons. I couldn't find any information on how much the Lion King area was going to cost.
