Tough to tell much from this part of the statement since Japan is now fully included in the earnings report.

Well the good news I got from the presentation is that Universal had already increased their capital expenditure by 32.4% last quarter (partially from regaining majority ownership of US japan), and they still plan to increase that amount another 10% for the remainder of 2016.

Comcast's earnings and revenue beat analyst's expectations. CEO Brian Roberts, "Despite an expected difficult comparison to last year's record second quarter film slate, NBC Universal achieved solid results, driven by strengths in our TV business and Theme Parks"....Theme Parks helped the top line, with the inclusion of Universal Studios in Japan and the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in California............Me: A rosy financial report is always good news.

No indication of softness or a concern of softness in the report concerning theme parks. The comments were all optimistic. They even emphasized that theme park success helped get them over the hurdle of not meeting the film division's historic earnings from 2015 second quarter. So, at the very worst, I would think revenue at Orlando Universal was acceptable....Reading between the lines, nothing out there to slow down the movement to a third park on the newly acquired property.

Personally in terms of the conference, I think the winner for more..intriguing information; is Beijing in-terms of the theme parks. But, I placed those in that designated thread so..yeah.

I have read that USB is already designed. I wonder if the design team will come over to Orlando and work on the third gate plans. That new UC office is said to have plenty of extra parking available.

...Why do I have a feeling, you are talking about SLoP and F&F on this one..

SLoP, I would assume has gotten fasttracked; which would make sense as it is a major change.

But F&F...that one, makes me hopeful it's a good thing if that's one of the immediate projects.

Did they change the F&F vehicles, which were originally similar, but a bit smaller, to Kong's vehicles? Lot's of issues with Kong vehicle/communication. We've talked about that before. Changed vehicles could possibly result in a changed ride experience. That one wouldn't shock....Well, then there's Nintendo, that could shock.

I'm not familiar with FF, but it originally had ride vehicles similar to the size of Kong's? I assumed they would be... you know... cars?
