So I looked up what it would cost if I could go and it would be 360 a person for a basic room and 1.5 tickets plus EA. Which is what I would call fair, like more then I'd like but also about what youd think it would cost for an onsite hotel and theme park

We’ll be there! And staying at the hotel that first week with extended family from out of town. That plus the APs did hurt my wallet this morning.

Will be there opening day as well! Hoping they’ll let us just upgrade to the annual pass before we leave.

Interesting development though, both pass options are now marked as “not available.” Opening day tickets are sold out, but have come in/out of stock a couple of times.

With those blockout dates, you won't be able to apply those day ticket prices to an Annual Pass. We went ahead and bought the APs.

We were able to buy a ticket at Universal Hollywood and then upgrade to a pass that was blocked out that day recently. If it doesn’t work out, not the end of the world anyway.
