A travel agent on Instagram (MagicVoyageVacations) is reporting they got a sneak peek into ticket options and it’s all date-based tickets, 1 day or 2 consecutive days, no annual pass listed.

ADA ramps have been installed on the Jurassic World Lookout Towers at Universal Kids Resort, allowing children in wheelchairs to access the giant elevated play structure. Universal is doing a fantastic job building an inclusive park.

I move out of the area at the end of the month. I have a kiddo with a birthday at the end of the month and this would’ve been a great birthday trip.

In Frisco you can tell we're so close to an announcement. I keep hearing advertisements on the radio and the local Walmart has put up Shrek, Trolls, Minions and Jurassic World merch at the front of the store in anticipation of the park opening. Buzz is brewing.

Looking at the property in-person you'd think they're about 95% done with construction.

I'm honestly shocked. Universal's marketing was ramping up with flythrough videos, the entrance sign reveal, concept art, etc. It felt like they were building toward an announcement. Then UKR's social channels went dark. They haven't posted a thing since April 15. I've never seen a rollout like this one.

The scaffolding is down in Puss in Boots Del Mar at Universal Kids Resort. And we're in love. The details are incredible.

I'm honestly shocked. Universal's marketing was ramping up with flythrough videos, the entrance sign reveal, concept art, etc. It felt like they were building toward an announcement. Then UKR's social channels went dark. They haven't posted a thing since April 15. I've never seen a rollout like this one.

Yeah, it looked like we were getting close to an announcement date and then crickets. The construction has been happening fast and furious over there, I love driving over to see what's been done. It's been a fun project these last few years. I was almost ready to go back to working at Universal LOL

It’s really so odd. The complete silence on social is a little bit concerning yet I feel like I’m seeing more ads on social and locally on radio and billboards.

Surely they will need to do some kind of brief soft open and media preview before the full opening. Knowing that, I’m guessing the very end of June or maybe beginning of July now based on the lack of info.

Construction is supposed to wrap by Friday, at least according to permits filed two years ago with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). I'm not sure that's happening.

Did the city create some roadblocks during the process here recently?

Did we get some big delays on some manufacturing/construction? I noticed that the shrek splash area still hasn’t gotten its ground covering installed, for example. No reason for that outside of some delay in delivery, one would think. And minions was filled with water once at one point, and hasn’t been filled back up since.

But yes… so odd to get all the timed weekly releases and reveals, fully finishing all of them. And then… nothing for weeks.

I’ve had DMs and comments on my socials from folks who claim to be either working on the project, or that someone close to them is working on it, sharing that there’s been a lot of electrical change orders placed and that the construction contracts were all recently extended until July 31. Someone even said they don’t actually know the opening date firmly yet.

Of course they could just be trolling, so take it with a grain of salt, but it seems like there was some kind of delay, somewhere. We had some rough weather this year with the ice and later spring storms. Or they were just too ambitious with the timeline in the first place.
