I doubt it. It's interesting Universal didn't use B&M at Epic Universe, they might not use them here either.

They didn't, but they may not be able/want to use Mack in the UK with the proximity to their own park in Germany. They just worked with B&M replacing Hulk, so why not?

I also don't believe that anything themed to Wicked getting a major coaster as I've seen speculated. It doesn't fit the vibe/audience. Maybe a small coaster like Flight of the Hyppogriff, but not a major coaster.

Europa Park is as much a showcase of the Mack products you can buy as it is a theme park.

Mack would never turn down business to sell a roller coaster. That’s their main business and income stream!

They could definitely purchase a Mack ride - Hyperia at Thorpe Park is Mack :)

Some reasons why I speculate that the bottom left land may be Pokémon:

-The Balloon Race ride looks to be alternating between [red] Poké Ball and [blue] Great Ball themed arms.

-Galar is the Pokémon region based on the UK, and the teacup ride appears to have the Galarian sheep Pokémon called "Wooloo" as the teacups.

-The (gift shop?) building at the back of the land seems to have façades resembling the roofs of a Pokémon Centre (red top left) and possibly a gym (brown middle), as designed in the Hoenn games.

Also it fulfils the Nintendo contract.

I know this will sound entitled as a person in his Orlando home base of Theme park peakism as we literally have a lot of rides/lands that other parts of the world do not have.
However, if the UK ends up getting Pokemon before Fl, or Japan even for that matter, I will greatly be questioning the decision making here.

I'm thinking that the actual layout; lagoon in middle, hotel location and entranceway are set in stone but anything IP and ride related could and likely will change. That being said, if they remove the Hill Valley area I will be very upset lol, it's my fave aspect of the art.

A press conference for anyone interested.

Skip to the 7 minute mark, fashionably late as always.

Just because something gets announced for the UK first doesn't mean it'll open here first; 2031 is still a long way off.

Although as a UK-based person, I'm obviously biased to want to get at least a few things which are world exclusives when the park opens.

I imagine Universal want people from all over to come to the UK for their park, and having some exclusive experiences here is one of the best ways to do that.

So my take from the map, counter clockwise.

Paddington kids area - can see the marmalade jar, umbrellas, 100% that’s what the concept art is based on

BTTF launch coaster - that’s hill valley, and the concert stage there makes sense given the music and ending of the first film, marty rocking out there will be awesome! the coaster tall point will have a lightning strike effect which triggers the boost to 88mph, different launch and exit building are set in two time periods.

Jurassic world coaster + dark ride

Lord of the rings, but it’s been heavily obscured due to no agreement yet, maybe shrek is plan b.

Minions land, copy pasted from other parks, you can see the yellow dots on the globe.

Jaws indoor water ride and eating area, you can see the hanging shark on the map.

Is that a train line on the far right of the image?

If so, isn’t it on the wrong side?

Parking is also on the opposite side of the Park entrance.

Can you see a city walk on there? Seems a bit small if it’s the bit I’m thinking it might be. And no transport hub in the image either…

Nope. No Citywalk, this is why I think we'll see changes. Unlike the EU art, the art doesn't correspond to what Universal have told us the Park and other areas will be placed. But I do think the lagoon and entrance/hotel are representative, they seem the most detailed places on the art.

Possibility that the LoTR land could be the Forbidden Forest for Potter instead?

EU art sort of had to be accurate, cause we already have 2 parks full of IP’s. Plus, they announced already Nintendo was going there. There was no real reason to “hide” what was happening. I take the layout here seriously and nothing else. I suspect it’ll be similiar to Beijing in layout and size.

Congratulations to our UK IU friends!

Ooh I haven't seen any of the Paddington films yet, but I do see the umbrellas now that you mention them!

Maybe the Nintendo contract only applies to the existing parks?

Is LOTR or Nintendo coming here? Maybe an expansion?
I doubt Nintendo, we already have Mario representation in Orlando's Epic Universe, a rumoured Zelda expansion there later, and a rumoured Pokemon presence elsewhere in their Florida resort (Simpons replacement?) though the location of the rumoured Pokemon land keeps changing, so maybe it will come to the UK! As for LOTR, I think it's highly-likely to come over here. A super popular IP in the UK, a good fantasy pick to fit in the park to replace Harry Potter, and the existing rumours of it coming here dating all the way back to 2023.

I'm going against the grain on one of the predicted lands.....I think that Jurassic World is Wicked....smaller round buildings are Munchkinland, large show building is Oz with dark ride...and green coaster is Defying Gravity Coaster.
I thought the same too. I strongly agree that Wicked doesn't deserve a grand theme park presence - it feels like it's not going to have long-term cultural relevancy and is just gonna be popular during its short 2-film run that capitalises on Ariana Grande's current popularity - however just because we all think this doesn't mean Universal thinks the same. Consider the (admittedly weak) rumours of it getting a whole land in Epic. I could see that happening here in the UK, though I would personally prefer just the green coaster in a smaller land.

Universal never made an official statement that said this. It was part of the initial rumours that came along with the leaks Theme Park Stop popularised back in December 2023. One of these rumours was a 2030 opening, which turned out to be false as the UK government's tardiness has officially delayed the park's opening into 2031. However, I do still believe this is true, it's at least logical to not clone Orlando attractions in the UK, which would cannibalise their international tourism business from the UK to the US.

Would a cloned Minion attraction really deter guests from the UK to visit Orlando? I'm sure that rule applies to some of the more popular attractions throughout the resort, but I can see an exception for D-tickets and below. It looks like they're cloning Doctor Doom (albeit different theme) into the Jurassic World area if this plan is their current intention.

I hope this is okay to post, I put together a video breaking down the concept art and speculation.

We've also been to Beijing so we comment on our thoughts on how they will be linked/cloned.
