Heads up, I did hear a rumor they want to get rid of Burger Digs for the sit down too. So hopefully plans have changed.

There's flavored popcorn now at the parks rolling out. Something I wish the Orlando parks did ala Tokyo Disney. Great move by Universal, especially with them wanting to desperately mimic Disney's success in the popcorn bucket game.

I'm not much for buckets, but how have they not made an IOA lighthouse or USF globe bucket?

When LC eventually becomes Pokemon, I wonder if they may just not even replace Mythos with another full service restaurant - and Thunder Falls/Hammond's could just be the permanent replacement.

My guess is they will. Kitchens are the most expensive cost of a restaurant, especially table service ones. They did that at Hogsmeade and probably will retheme at Pokemon..............Heh, Pokemons like to have a nice sit down dinner too.

I doubt they miss out on a Pokemon-themed table service. If may not be "fine-dining", but I'm sure it'll be a draw.

This is where I was leaning too - I 100% expect dining in Pokemon but I'd guess we get a large quick service along the lines of Toadstool Cafe with Pokemon.

Also - I love the idea of an outdoor bar/patio for Hammonds/Thunder Falls... if half of that area wasn't a splash zone lol

Yeah I don’t see them wanting a full service location for the land and the parks don’t have more than two full arrive in them. And hey, they can adjust the splashdown!

As long as they relocate the pernil elsewhere... I'd be ok with it, closest Satu'li type experience we'll get at the Universal parks.


If Thunder Falls becomes a permanent thing, does the existing menu relocate to Burger Digs or Pizza Preddatoria? Hate to see that go away.

Really depends on a lot: what they want to serve, high production vs specialty kitchen, etc. I imagine a major refurb would take out the existing serving area and replace it with a larger kitchen space and bar space. Of course I have no inside info just looking at local restaurant changes.

Big loss for hyper-themed dining venues. Mythos has one of the most stunningly thematic interiors (to say nothing of the exterior) of any dining location in the Orlando area parks.

Isn’t the menu effectively the same as Three Broomsticks? It kinda feels like a Thunder Falls redo is 15 years overdue in that regard.

I have to imagine Universal got a look at the insane demand Pokemon Cafe has with there being an Osaka location. Obviously not a 1:1 idea, but it might genuinely be insane to pass up the opportunity for a similar concept that might well sell tickets for the park on its own. That would definitely have to be a table service setup, and with the demand they would still need a high volume QSR/two smaller QSRs (which is the current situation minus insane demand for the TSR).

I also wouldn’t be opposed to Thunder Falls becoming a TSR permanently, though I would like to see the type of foods it typically offered available elsewhere in IOA if it did. That space is beautiful and it would feel natural for it to be a TSR given the “location” it’s set in.

Didn’t know about the Pokemon cafes so I looked them up. I don’t think universal would want that location as a full service (limited options, what about alcohol, they want to push people through, etc) like mythos and instead a high end counter service like Toadstool or Siren.
