2023. It’s not that far of a gap.

Fair enough

I just know Netflix is moving into its own stuff similar to fan fest. So not sure if it’s in the cards

But if they could have gotten this then yeah, big lose.

They might have sold out most nights with K-pop demon hunters

I mean agreed but also would Netflix even allow it?

Now that Netflix is going experiences, are we sure they’d even want to partner with universal when they are building there own mini parks?

When was the last time Netflix was partnered for an event? HHN for strangers things 4/5 years ago right?

A little birdie received an HHN survey, asking which IPs would excite them the most. They were very confused when they noticed that KPDH was a listed option.

Obviously that doesn't mean its locked in but Universal is very clearly keeping an eye on it, and are considering it for HHN if antthing.

My personal question is what would they do for the IP? I think an original Dreamworks Theatre short film that's a concert would be sick, but maybe the plaza could be transformed into a stage with live talent to allow for maximum capacity.

A plaza experience

A live stage show with cool visuals

Also I just doubt the surveys are all possibles because Pokemon and other super popular things have been asked about before and if fan fest is based on what people would vote for, it would be a very different event

If I was Universal and I wanted to work with Sony Pictures on a Fan Fest Nights experience that'd headline for USH and even USF--I'd actually work with Sony Pictures Animation to get a "Short Film Experience" made alongside the development of KPOP Demon Hunters 2.

If you want english voiceover FFN experiences, then working in tandem with someone like SPA/Netflix for a tailor made experience that'd act as the major experience for FFN on-par with the likes of Scooby Doo/UM or DND.

The one main issue with that is that with Shrek 4D gone, USF doesn't really have a suitable flex theater for short films anymore. I feel like that's the main reason we haven't gotten anything beyond the USJ carry-overs, since there is limited ROI for a show they can only use on one coast.

To that I think the obvious solution on a psuedo level is to use the Bourne theater. While it's not as advanced for theater seats, I see no reason why they couldn't have a cinema show work in that theater.

Not to detail this thread, but I believe the reason they don’t use (Which was explained on here previously) it is due to the fact that the show uses real guns so therefore there is a strict “lockout tagout” procedure with the gun storage. That could be an issue when you have a temp cast just for HHN.

You can argue the Purge over here uses live guns and a temp cast, so why can’t USF? That ought be a problem if you do a Jabawockeez kind of show.

See that's why I argue using the theater for the Cinema method rather than having an "Actor" led show. Having the theater used for the sake of films feels like a viable way to get through with the lockout tagout, without interferring as much.

Pivoting back though--Jurassic for FFN should be announced this week. They just need to get around something first that needs to be done, before it can be officially announced.
