Ohhhhh. I thought you meant the Optimus scene would be half and half.  That makes much more sense now.

I agree, it would've made for an even more impressive ride. Spider-Man includes several animatronics, and they look great...!

^ where does Spiderman have animatronics? I feel like I'm goin nuts, but I don't think Spidy has any animatronics. The ride DOES however have more physical effects like more smoke and actual fire and more set pieces, which is lacking in Transformers

At the beginning of the ride, a truck nearly crashes into the ride vehicle, causing you to swerve into the warehouse. Also, when Doc Ock shoots the box with the anti-gravity cannon, it floats around. Same with the Statue of Liberty's head.

Those aren't really animatronics, they're just animated props. Cuz if you wanna count that as an animatronic, we have a truck that moves in the beginning of Transformers. These don't count as animatronics.

I dunno, that's a fine line. Some animated props do rightly qualify as animatronics.

I would have loved to see an Optimus animatronic figure in that last scene so much...

What exactly would differentiate an animatronic from an animated prop?

Well usually animatronics have been creatures with a wider range of movements, also usually with sound but not necessarily. Basically a robotic figure. Animated props are similar but not quite animatronics. Props that slightly move or window display "animations" like on main street at Disneyland aren't really considered animatronics. Although there definitely are many exceptions, an animatronic has usually been a human or animal or creature.

an·i·ma·tron·ics

/ˌanəməˈträniks/

Noun

The technique of making and operating lifelike robots, typically for use in film or other entertainment.

Compliments of google.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Either way, Transformers lacks the use of anything animated (save for the N.E.S.T. truck at the beginning).

Does that thing even move? I've lost count of how many times I've been on this ride, and I have never seen that truck move.

I honestly can't remember now. Allen said it does, and I thought at one point I remembered it moving, but when you're on the ride, there's a physical truck blended into a virtual one in the first screen.

Yeah, truck always moved before. No clue if it's been broken though. It was always subtle anyway.

Florida's queue is supposed to be noticeably shorter than ours.

Did you also note how brightly lit it is?

You can just tell by those videos that it's a lot more cramped in there. They really had to squeeze this thing in there.. In order to maintain a reasonable queue, they even took out outdoor seating of the Monsters Cafe and added a huge chunk of overflow queue in the middle of one of the New York streets.

Yes rooms look a lot brighter. Though ceiling of rooms looks higher at least in the vids.

Queue seems to be quieter - like Singapore. At least from the limited videos I've seen so far.

For whatever reason, Hollywood's queue is loud and brash.

Maybe that just means we outdid them in terms of interior theming..? It's supposed to feel like this is a high-priority mission that you'll be assisting the Autobots with, so I guess the loud sounds and harsh lighting are used on purpose to add to the rushed and chaotic atmosphere.
