That's better than not having anyone who was involved in the '90s update, yes.

I'm going to echo similar sentiments. The only scene that was badly in need of an update was the finale. The rest of the attraction didn't need any changes and nicely conveyed the themes and messages it was aiming to. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

COP to me was a cultural and technological history lesson mixed with some heart and humor. I'm not sure 2026 Imagineers understand the assignment....and even if they do....those ideas won't make it past corporate overlords.

Let's face it.....Corporate America doesn't want us to know or remember the past. Time to collect books, pictures and documents.....they will become treasures once AI is fully instituted.

It was weird that we went from 1900s, 1920s, 1940s, to 1999.

It was weird when they did it in 1994, and it's even weirder now.

I assumed they were going to revert the finale back to 1960s to be honest, if they were going to *only* update the finale. But that would be hard with the voice actors deceased and the original ending being a different voice actors than the current one.

At the end of the day the decades presented in the 1964/65 Worlds Fair version of the show are exactly as distant to those audiences as the new decades for this upcoming version will be to us.

It has been 60 years, and this update will now buy them 60 more.

The amount of technological leaps from 1969 to now is crazy. Heck, even 1985 to now.

So going from the 1940s to 2026 and beyond is an insane leap. It was time. I get the want for having something represented from a WW2-era house, but there are only so many rooms in the theater to cover the range, so, understandably, concessions needed to be made.

Maybe they can send the original pieces to the Smithsonian…

*Sigh*…Nevermind.

Seriously the first one was a 60 year look back and now this new version is a 60 years look back.

WDI’s been plusing and upgrading COP for over a year now. Let’s go, I’m excited.

I’m happy they’re making smart changes and not making the family The Incredibles or Fantastic Four or something.
