Was there ever concepts for the kong ride system to be used in a jurassic park style? I could swear I had seen it. Wouldnt mind a retheme to JP where the van converts to larger explorers or jeeps. Although I would want 3d back for the dinosaurs.

The ride already has T-Rex’s and Raptors chasing you. So nothing changes except a tiny bit of the story with raptors saving you instead of Kong. It would be a very lateral move and not change the experience whatsoever.

And I’d argue it’s worse from both a guest and company position as guests lose the Kong animatronic and universal loses the Kong branding and merch sales.

Bad move all around, IMO. Kong is fine as is the mini land that it currently is.

When they eventually replace Toon Lagoon (a day in which I will be devastated), do you think they expand the Kong land some to add more merch/food options?
