Honestly, itd be great if it stayed and the ride film got remastered I actually really enjoy the attraction lol

Like realistically speaking, what do you put in that plot of land that isnt just reusing the simulator for the 3rd time (which would still probably have to be bulit from the ground up because of modern building codes)? It’s in such an awkward spot, lol. Shutting down Springfield (even in well timed phases) would probably be an incredibly annoying undertaking for everyone involved (including guests).

They might save more money and headache in the long run by just forking over the money to Disney. Plus with the movie coming out in 2027, maybe they’ll see a merch sales boom.

Orlando on the other hand is definitely on the chopping block as it doesn’t have the unique issues our version has.

IIRC, the NBCU evolution plan has the current tram stop earmarked for future theme park development. if you expand into that for the Simpsons replacement you could get a decent sized dark ride.

Simpsons Co-Creator says he would be “shocked” in Universal stopped licensing the IP.

lol

I hope the ride goes before the show ends

Like I get it, it makes money but so will many other IPs the ride is just at its end....if anyone here has fun RIDING it speak up but its rough and the loading is just slow compared to most modern rides

People will eat anything good, I mean cool if the IP has food items people already want but here is an idea....make good food and people will just eat it. This is a local park and if you make food people want they will buy it

If USH has other cool plans and simpsons can stay, great but also I won't be too upset when it leaves like the show its just not in the best place and rather it go out with more of a bang....also like can we get some characters in holiday outfits and halloween? Can Side Show bob return, like if you want someone like me to fight for it to stay then do more with it over making it always the same thing when basically every other area of the park gets updates for either christmas/halloween

Asked @ethanuniversal to get a wide-shot to give more context, it seems weathering and aging is more properly hitting the back side of the building now, with grey grime near the top of the structure and with the showbuilding's blue front paint now considerably faded since the refurbishment in 2022).

The Grime from the cracking also seems to be going down a square too, likely from the water drainage when it rains.

As to be expected from a fully exposed 32 year old show building… even the fact that the building is unthemed and exposed like this feels very indicative of how different Creative was back then

Is that a stucco finish on the building?

Love the Simpsons (Simpsons took over Fortnite and its great) but the land could be improved both themeing wise and ride wise

The Ride once again, is just not fun to ride its too bumpy and the system is like 30 years old its time for something new

Monsters, HTTYD....just something new but I assume part of why they are waiting on this still is also because the Tram will most likley be affected as well

Keep the land change the ride. Maybe add another Simpson experience not a ride but maybe more fan service some how.

Whatever (if there is a replacement) please make it something other than a motion simulator.... The park has too many of them already

I mean if they did a full E ticket, I'm down.

But I just don't get why with Universal making its own Ips now that do rival Disney...why you would want to keep this land?

Like if you make it Wicked/monsters land, you will make a similar amount of money but your not paying anyone fees or splitting the merch/drink revenue as much. From a Business perspective to me it doesn't make much sense but if USH is willing to invest in redoing the ride to make it a new E ticket I wont be too upset

So with Pokemon confirmed to be heading to Universal parks globally beyond Japan, Part of me wonders in Pokemon will be the USH replacement for Simpsons. Maybe they can dust off what was originally planned for USF before plans shifted to IOA or maybe some fresh altogether.

If its the only way it can fit then cool

But it's just not much land, I'd rather see Transformers and the soundstage behind it go away and us get a REAL land. Pokemon is just insanely huge as an IP. So if it can get a big full land, amazing if it takes over simpsons it can work but not much room outside a ride for much else and I think even little shows and some sort of band game not coming would be a missed opportunity.

Now if the Tram moves....and they can use the Hill behind it for the ride and then have more land to play with, that would be cool

Monsters or Wicked to me make sense more theming wise to match Potter but most guests outside of hardcare fans care about theming matching at USH

USH has so much potential for a 2nd gate nowadays... Pokemon, Wicked, Dark Universe, HTTYD/DreamWorks, etc.

Connect it with the HE and you have a 2nd major resort in the country.

We don't have the space to really do it in Hollywood. That's not to say there couldn't be another major Universal destination like a mainline park, but it wouldn't be next to USH.

There’s no space for a second gate and hardly enough space for expansion. Any further development will require shuffling attractions in existing space around.

In my personal opinion, getting rid of Simpsons is an emergency. Simpsons needs to be replaced with Hill Valley- an actual Hill Valley land that fully commits to the theme, not like what we had in the 90’s. The highest rated attraction in park history was BTTF at FFN, and it gets more merch than any series outside of maybe Jurassic.

It would also function as a perfect transition to both the Studio Tour and the more movie focused Lower Lot. I can’t think of anything better for a spot that pretty much serves as the heart of the park.

As for the Lower Lot- I also think it’s an emergency that we get some version of Dark Universe. It’s kind of insulting that the studio park that created the horror film has such minimal Monsters representation beyond the walk-around characters.

I don’t know how they could possibly fit anything else down there, but that’s the only potential space for expansion. They could probably just gut Mummy and build a dark ride in there. I mean, ET fit in that building.

Pokémon really does need to come to USH because it would basically print them money forever, but I think Monsters and BTTF are far more important to the identity of USH and will make it a better park. Once those two are planned, then worry about getting Pokémon in.

If it was up to me, I’d demolish the entire Minions area and maybe some of French Street and absolutely lock in to somehow fit a full size dark ride, but that’s even less realistic than everything else I’ve mentioned.

I think the second most likely spot for Pokemon (after Simpsons) is on the Lower Lot near Mario. I’d hate to lose Transformers and it just got upgrades, but if that’s what it takes to keep it away from the other possible spots…

As for Wicked: I think it belongs somewhere in the park, but it would be a huge waste to build a full land or even an attraction. I think this should go in the Supercharged spot. Boom, everyone’s happy. While they’re at it, bring back Kongfrontation.

They’re not going to do any of this. They’re probably going to put Pokémon in Simpsons, never do anything with Monsters or BTTF and do something like demolish Mummy for a huge Wicked land exclusively based on the movies. But I genuinely think if they did some version of everything I just described, USH would instantly become a legendary park with the best thematic and artistic integrity out of any park in the country. please hire me guys i can do this all day
