It has been confirmed to me privately that the project taking over much of the former Lost Continent space in Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure will be themed to Pokémon. But it now publicly confirmed that whatever Universal is developing, it will happen at its Osaka, Japan park first.

Best case scenario would be once USJ's ride comes online Universal confirms what other parks Pokemon is coming to. But if past is prologue, not until its close to opening lol.

If Universal is keen on getting this into as many parks as they can, Maybe this can be a Simpsons replacement for USH.

An experience that stimulates all five senses can describe essentially any attraction but Sounds Dangerous haha. Definitely wouldn't read into it as Snap confirmation or anything.

First, the fact that this has been discussed/debated since 2009 (based on when this thread was started) is wild to me. It's been a long time coming.

Second, I'd just recently heard that Pokemon was coming to Lost Continent and I think that's going to be a huge addition to Islands of Adventure. I have a 10 year old son who is going to lose his mind (I say as I just put down Pokemon Legends ZA five minutes ago). The Lost Continent area was one of my favorite areas of the park and I'm bummed at what it's turned into, but the theming has been a favorite of mine even now.

Hope this comes sooner than later, but I imagine we're still a ways off from seeing this come to life. Can't wait to see it.

Just got back from UOR a couple of weeks ago, so guess time to plan to go back in 2030 or so (though, the kids have been asking to go to Japan so that's an option as well). Any idea what they might be doing? Pokemon Snap-esque attraction?
