Take it from me, decor, merch, and even music playing in a theme park is not good enough an indication of a property coming as an attraction.

If it were, Orlando would have The Secret Life of Pets.

When it comes to Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto being heavily involved in the lands creation and likely decisions regarding the shop, I think it’s safe to say Zelda is on their mind for phase 2.

Maybe UC also though LM wouldn't really move the bar enough for EU's first major expansion but Zelda would.

Again, based on what?

Let's not forget that Luigi's Mansion 3 is one of the absolute top selling games for Switch. The series is incredibly successful and popular, exponentially moreso than Donkey Kong Country. LM3 has outsold every Zelda game besides Breath and Tears on Switch. Elements of the series were included in the incredibly popular Mario Bros movie. We're not talking about a Pikmin sub-land here. Unfortunately.... : / Luigi would be a big deal.

It just seems like a lot of assumptions is all. I think Zelda is decently likely for something substantial, but I also don't hear the rumblings of production hell for the Zelda LC project and think "They're definitely gonna fast-track this into Epic!", yknow?

Ok how about this for a left field idea: incorporate an in-park hotel into whatever replaces LC.

I'd rather have a full land and attractions.........I recall there was once a Creative planning idea, seen by a prominent IU Insider, for a boutique Potter hotel behind HE at USF and near the Employee parking garage. But that never got past that early thought process.

Gonna guess the botique angle is probably dead after the Starcruiser (justified or not). I have no real attachment to the idea, but hey lets throw out a cross-park hotel concept out there too!

Based on the fact they put Zelda in there out of nowhere and I don’t think it’s an accident. I’m of the opinion we eventually get both at Epic. It could be that they couldn’t figure out what to do with Zelda over all of LC so mixing it with Luigi’s Mansion in Epic makes it somewhat easier.

You are discounting Nostaliga factor . LM3 sold well because it was released on an extremely popular system. Zelda holds a much more cherished following due to the franchise age. You can’t underestimate the 40+ bringing their kids who grew up with these games. They are the ones buying tickets , not the kids who played Luigi’s mansion on switch. Zelda is much bigger IP.

And it seems like it could be molded to different ride types, including a large dark ride. For me, Lost Continent makes the most sense thematically as well as placement. Putting a great dark ride in that area (would love if they could incorporate the facade of Poseidon's temple) would balance out the park a little. Then, after a couple years, they could look at adding to Toon Lagoon if they so chose.

Epic would probably do better with an addition to Monsters or Harry Potter first (probably Potter to bolster that area) than to add to Nintendo.

I can only imagine how great a park that IOA would be if they put a new enclosed attraction with AC, and another live theater (under roof) show in the LC area, whatever the IP. And yes, that duo does sound familiar.....But it would help to balance the park with two extra attractions covered for bad weather. Plus, combined with the really excellent recent additions, Hagrids and Velocicoaster, would make IOA a true WOW factor experience.

A standard boat ride with a couple small drops (no drenching riders needed) with high capacity would be very welcome. Make it a nice 8 minute voyage into the realm. They could use screens as placesetting mixed with animatronics (as they have been doing) plus a score from the game and it would honestly fill what is a massive hole in IOA's lineup. I love Pirates of the Caribbean and represents such a great example of a dark ride that doesn't need major thrills to be a wonderful ride.

I think USF needs something like this more than IOA.

You should start asking guest services at Epic & IOA where the JAWS Ride is. And add it to every survey.
