I think it feels very redundant (as I think the new movie looks very redundant), but my primary quibble is not so much more HTTYD stuff, it's that they have a vast dead area where they can even do this in the first place.

I want them to get moving soon on permanent things at the original two parks, not stopgaps.

I get it, but Dragons or not, this area isn't being touched by construction plans right now.

We’re also seeing how Universal’s ticketing/capacity strategies are keeping large crowds away from Epic, which is expected to continue till at least July 1.

The new movie releases June 13, so if they’re trying to use the parks to drum up excitement, it makes sense to spread the promotion out so average guests actually see it.

On another note, I wasn’t sold on the dragon redesigns, but Stormfly looks great in these pics!

This is obviously a taste for Berk to become a multi-park land much like HP. Toothless merchandise can fund another land entirely. Trust the plan! Berk Believers are in control! /S

I'm honestly pretty bummed at the idea that Hyrule might end up squeezed into that spot between Mushroom Kingdom and Monsters.

A compact Mario land with even more compact sub-lands based on adjacent IP like Donkey Kong, Luigi's Mansion, or Yoshi's Island makes a lot of sense and fits for the IP, which is often associated with tight, grid/pixel-based level design.

I believe Hyrule deserves more space than DKC or Luigi's Mansion. It shouldn't be an overly tight walled garden like those. Especially if they base it on Breath of the Wild like the concept art or Twilight Princess like the banners in Epic, it should be a sprawling and at least semi- explorable space. It would be enough to use the current structure of Lost Continent imo. I think you need that level of space to get across the feeling of a Kingdom or village.

As good as Epic clearly is, this is why I was so conflicted when they restarted construction in '21. Obviously a whole new park was the only way we were getting something as close to original as DU. But it's equally frustrating to see all the spots at the north parks be unaddressed because of it.

With <factors that must not be named>, they might have to prioritize a lot here. Any expansions to Epic should be bottom of that totem pole.

If we do end up getting Zelda at Epic, there's a pretty good chance it will take up the entirety of the expansion pad, and it could utilize a separate portal entrance on the opposite side of the Celestial Park Nintendo store.

If Zelda is able to get a fully fleshed out land I believe a lot of fans would be very happy.

I think Luigi's Mansion has been shelved for the time being. Based on the size and scale worthy of a Zelda land, I think it (Zelda) would take up the entire SNW expansion pad.

If Universal decides to dust off the plans for LM down the line, I could see it going to USH as an exclusive for their SNW.

If USH has any real space I’d advocate for them to get Monsters Unchained. It’s only fair with their history.

I don't see an Epic attraction expansion before the needed expansions at USF & IOA. Universal might do more abstract stuff at Epic for the near future, like a parade or more street shows. There are priorities and only so much budget.

The space behind SNW at USH would be earmarked for Nintendo only based on the positioning.

If some form of the Classic Monsters land made its way to USH, the only place it could go would be SS 16-24

Unless Nintendo invokes something to get Hyrule to be open not too long after the movie.

If they did this, this could be the 2030 addition for UOR.

While I would absolutely love to see LM, I just think they'll want to prioritize Zelda over LM. I don't think LM would really draw new guests in as much as a Zelda land would.
