Midsummer Scream Panel compared the wet path to being "front row on Jurassic park."
Hype for this house is through the roof.

This feels like an effect that will be turned down a few days into the event sadly - I can see the general public getting very angry because they didn't understand how wet the "wet path" would be

Yeah this was my thinking - I mean they're going to have to REALLY emphasize how wet you'll get. That might break immersion, but I mean, it's already kind of immersion-breaking to have a wet/dry path in Art's fun house of death.

Guess he's a considerate guy!

Do people still have phones that aren't waterproof? I take mine on the front row of JPRA with no fear, it's IP68 rated.

Now if Art gets my socks wet when I still have another 25,000 steps to take, that would be a problem.

Wet socks are definitely a concern of mine, with how much walking is required at HHN now.

Also, what are the operations logistics of having a roaming Art just show up inside a gift shop? The only gift shop I ever see characters walk through is the Five and Dime. Most of the other shops don’t really have the floor space for “character interaction”.

With the event being so crowded, can Art really just hang out on a park bench and act threatening? Or stalk you down a dark alley?

My expectation for the "roaming Art" is basically what it looks like Jack did in 2021.

Pop up in a scarezone here and there, surrounded by TMs and security

the lawyers are going to love the idea of a purposely wet path, in the dark, at an event where most of the money is made through alcohol sales.

They forgot to include that an Art actor will pick you up and carry you through to the exit

If it’s got a cracked screen that water resistance will be compromised. I’ve seen a lot of those.

If it’s in your pocket though I can’t imagine it’ll be that bad.

I generally discourage casuals from going opening night because of the insane crowds, but will likely be the only way to see this effect.

While of course this is all a wait and see, something that may help keep the "Blood Bath" path alive is the sheer fact they're clearly offering a dry path. That then puts it on the guests where if they choose to take the "Blood Bath" path and didn't like how wet they got, well that's on them at this point.

Now if there wasn't a dry path offered, then that would be a whole different story and I wouldn't see that lasting long at all.

Exactly. If people want to complain about how wet you get going down “the wet path”, too bad.
