Imo I found the experience at USJ equally miserable. I have doubts that they’ve figured it out for Epic but I’m open to being surprised!

EDIT: Actually what am I saying — I’m probably never eating at Toadstool ever again lol

Yeah it seems rough. Took an hour from checking in for their reservation, to ordering, getting a table, and receiving their food.

I know some have mentioned potential improvements for the land in EU, I hope this is one. Clearly needs more room for dining, and better efficiency.

I've personally had a great time at Toadstool Cafe and haven't encountered any issues any time i've been there(twice in 2023 and once in 2024). Line moved quick. Ordered fast. Knew what i wanted before going in there each time, so it made it easy to get it done at the counter. Got my drink and was seated immediately. Food was at my table within 20 minutes. Was out within an hour every time. I thought the food quality was bordering okay to genuinely good depending on what was ordered. Any extra items purchased(like mushroom bowl and bowser plate) were given in box and bag upon exit to make it easier to carry around. Honestly, it's probably something i'm going to do at EPIC nearly every time i go there until i experience something less-than-stellar with the service; But as of right now, nothing i'd personally dogpile on. Any service hiccup would be outweighed by the theming and atmosphere and me just being happy to be there. lol

Even with full operation and a smaller park capacity, DK seems to be hitting ‘at capacity’ for the last few hours of the day

I am kind of shocked by how many stairs there are everywhere. I feel like (especially at the end of certain rides) it’s an accident waiting to happen when dizzy people get off…

The stairs are a big reason I feel a little more at-ease at USH Super Nintendo World than at USJ. At USJ there’s limited room to stand and it feels like everyone is caving into you from every direction, or that you’re standing in at least 5 people’s photos.

OK— did Mario Kart today. Why does everyone bad mouth this ride? We rode and absolutely LOVED it! And I knew what to expect and I know practically nothing about Nintendo (the only game system I ever had was an Atari 1600) but we just had an amazing time on it.

I don't think people have been bad mouthing it so much as debating whether or not it would've been better as a traditional dark ride instead of an interactive gamer ride.

Yea. I'm not a fan of the interactive aspect & the AR glasses really takes away from the physical set details of the ride.

Also the delay due to Covid also killed off the hype for me lol

Power up band functionality has been added to the app today, QR code no longer needed. You can access it under any of the Nintendo attractions

I think the issue isn't that it's a bad ride, I think, like a few others have said, when thinking of Mario Kart, many would have envisioned a more traditional dark ride but with fast moving vehicles i.e something more akin to Test Track or Radiator Springs Racers but with go-karts instead of cars...at least that's how I would have envisioned it to be more like initially. That said, I am still looking forward to experiencing it.

I liked it a lot. It's not what I would have done with an MK-based attraction, but it's great. Having Donkey Kong in the same land as the "thrill ride" compliments it well and balances out the offerings.

I like the ride less the more I go on it and the more I think about it. It’s not “bad,” certainly, but I don’t think it’s good either. I’ll be fine if I never ride it again. It doesn’t work as a game nor as a dark ride. A bad hybrid (imo, of course).

I’m exactly the inverse. The first time I rode it I didn’t feel like it was very successful as a game or a dark ride, but it’s grown on me more and more to the point where it’s easily my favorite interactive ride at any of the parks now.

Agreed, I wasn’t too interested at first but the more I started to understand it made it more rerideable than MIB for me. I also rode the 2nd ride with no AR to able to fully see the sets so my eyes are fully focused on the gaming aspect now

I’ve explained this before but it’s more of a bell curve for me. Disliked the first time, liked it a little more the second and third time, and have disliked on every subsequent ride. It’s a beautiful ride and is still enjoyable for that reason but it’d probably my least favorite interactive game of any theme park attraction, including Web Slingers or Justice League.

Nintendo EU store is having a large presence of The Legend of Zelda in the store--as if it's being paired in imagery to that of the Mushroom Kingdom and Donkey Kong Country areas (using the Twilight Princess designs to boot).

Has anyone seen video of the portal / stairway up? I really want to see how the Orlando version compares to the others.
