I think they absolutely should cover the hole with one of those M symbols that indicate a tap point, and probably have a simple sign posted of how/when to do it in order to get stamps.

Lastly, I don't know if this was mentioned already, but I think I've discovered a tip for the key coins: you don't have to go straight to Bowser Jr. once you have three, I think you can get as many as you'd like and the app will still keep track of it. I noticed it when I did the Goomba Crank several times to get stamps, and after doing the BJ fight, I noticed my key coins didn't go back to a blank.

Yeah they rly should have something on those holes.

And yeah you can totally stock pile keys I have 9 saved up.

Went today and walked on with single rider on MK twice

A few notes

Went to Guest Services to express my concern on staffing, and how in my expedience the parking, security and front gate aren't normally never 100& staffed even on super busy days.
Also asked about how 3 PM express will work with APs and they said the plan is hopefully most people go into the land before 3 PM so that its easy to just in APs, so hopefully they are right
Lastly the CM thanked me for my feedback and went and got me a Luigi hat, I thanked her and put it. So very glad they were very receptive to feedback when you do it in a calm, friendly manner. I really hope I'm wrong and that SNW wont be a mess for most of this year but have yet to see the staffing to make that happen....once again hope I'm wrong and they are about to show how clever their management is

This feels, temporary? I hope a better fix, that matches the aesthetic is coming.

Glad you felt good about it, but don’t expect that feedback to make it any further than the guest services rep lol. My wife worked that job at Disneyland in the ‘00s and unless a guest was like, reporting a crime or complaining about something that could get the park in trouble for some reason, the reps were instructed to just politely listen to the guest complain and then send them on their way. At the most, if the guest was demanding to be taken care of in some way, she could give them some sort of comp or whatever. But she wasn’t required to share any “feedback” with anyone, not even her manager.

The stories she tells are amazing. The entitlement some people have!

Does anyone have tips for attending the official opening of Super Nintendo World on Friday, Feb. 17th? I believe the lower level passes including the Silver Pass and So Cal passes are blocked out that day. Also, I was told by someone who works covering theme parks that the press ceremony for the land's opening is on Feb. 15th.

For anyone who attended the official opening of the Wizarding World, Secret Life of Pets, etc., does Universal wait until later in the morning to actually open the land and the ride? Or will it be open with park opening? Will there be a huge crowd waiting to get into the park, and then a huge crowd for rope drop heading to the Lower Lot? Trying to decide if it's even worth going on a day off from work in terms of crowds, hassle, etc, in exchange for attending the official opening. Thanks in advance.

Correct, big flashy ceremony for small group of press on the 15th followed by full media day on the 16th for a large group of press

Well... there wasn't really a grand opening for SLoP lol. The land will almost definitely open with the park. There will be insane crowds to get in at rope drop, this is probably gonna be the biggest opening in USH's history. Though if I had to guess there'll be a VL at open. If you don't specifically want the experience of dealing with and seeing extraordinary crowds, I would skip it

At the very lest I have to make efforts to let them know what Guests are thinking, if they don't use it cool. I might get a new AP to a park that seems to care more about guests at that time.

I hope they are staffing up for next week but....does not feel like it

Their staffing issues are a result of their own lack of ability to understand TM needs for better wages. Good on the TMs who aren't tryna be overworked without a bump in their pay after asking for so long.

Parks that care for APs? Like Six Flags? Disney? If they had to file every single complaint they got, their databases would crash faster than on TM Preview registration lol

Sea World is a park I've had an AP at and while not perfect it has a gate for APs only, lots of Free shows and events and the Aps are very fairly priced....I might get one when the new ride opens because it also come with tickets for friends

Agreed, its a huge issue that CM need higher wages. So many people there that aren't retirement age (and most likely working just because) seem so beat down and I can't blame them

Honestly Universal out here does a great job listening to valid guest complaints and making it up to them more than they probably should imo.

For example, the whole single rider thing was something they brought back due to suggestions. Personally when I did suggest it come back at attractions that used to have it, some person found me to give me unlimited express tickets which was something I didn't even ask for or anticipate.

And god am I so happy they did bring it back. I remember when I'd ask attraction TMs about it they'd tell me to complain to guest relations due to it being an active internal battle between attractions and the people in charge of VIP or something, the TMs seemed annoyed about it. Cool that they gave you Express!

I can say with confidence that at least at USH if you complain, it will be heard by the team. They do really well with guest complaints.

They definitely do a fantastic job — the way they made up for the poor guest experience on day one of SNW pass-holder previews is proof of that. But that was a very public incident that had a PR context. A random guest walking in from the park with a list of personal grievances or feedback on how they personally think the park should operate is a completely different deal lol. That person will be listened to, and maybe given something for free to appease them, but unless it’s something that can negatively impact the park, it’s not getting kicked up the ladder.

How were the crowds? Kind of wondering if the TRs they've been hosting in between everything are gonna be taking some pressure off grand opening day.

They’ve been pretty light. Most people at the park for the day just so happened to stumble upon the tech rehearsal and not visiting thinking it’s open. Many are probably thinking you need to be signed up for the AP previews or wait until the 17th. We’ll find out how crazy opening weekend is in a few days! The 18th and 19th will be the big ones.

Thanks so much for the information, Salismetho! I have the day free, so I need to decide whether dealing with the crowds is worth being there on the first day.
