yeah I can predict a lot of repetition from past houses ( I know that's obvious, but more than I expected)
in a way that description kinda makes the house sound like a "best of" since it's gonna have so many repeated places

This feels very much like a “get off my lawn” type of post. But as someone who has definitely been scared by a stranger things house in the past and who does see the horror elements of the last season and how it can be translated to a decent house, I don’t think it’s fair to yuck anyones yum. The Holly abduction portion of this house has so much potential in bringing the vibe back to the 2018 christmas light portion of that house that IMO had relentless and creative scares.

Yeah, hear ya, trying not to sound like that cause I never want to be that guy at all. I get it. What others have said too - very much in the "last house was worse one, on top of a disliked last season" - feels like that is very common general public reaction to the franchise as a whole. With many moments that were memed and laughed at to death. As well as the creatives from the event clearly showing a lack of excitement for this one, it just feels like a poorly received combination, then you tack on a shirt design that got dragged just about as much as I have ever seen on socials. The combo of all of the above is more of a "sigh, truly mailed in mandatory IP" reaction from me. Always hopeful, of course, but all the signs just point to the other direction is all.

I hope we actually see these things and Fangoria isn't just pulling these things out of nowhere.

Other places not mentioned I'll like to see:

• Turbow house (When they fight and capture the Demo)
• The hospital's laundry room (Where Karen saves the day)

I agree with you but we have also seen huge monsters before.

I think the creative team that no longer wants to see it at the event, as well. You could feel their passion for it in the first house, they were clearly as big a fans as the customers. By now, not sure anyone could get excited to work on this, both due to a weak finale and the fact it's been done 3x before.

I think it says a lot that the first one won HOTY whereas none of the WDs did.

build the giant head of the final mindflayer as a room transition and then you enter the head and you see vecna fighting eleven inside the monster.

I am in the same boat as you. Love the franchise, and loved the last house especially, but not feeling incredibly hopeful for this one. Wasn't the biggest fan of this season after the first few episodes so that doesn't help in that regard. Fearing this may be a "book report" house like some IPs suffer.
