Now that RotR has fairly decent stand by wait times, I'd rather them not make any alterations that could drive attendance (and lines longer).
Be careful what we wish for.

They should hire a new guy. I don't really care if James wanted otherwise.

If Bugs Bunny, Kermit the Frog, Super Mario, Mickey Mouse could all find suitable voice actors to take up the mantle after the original guy retired or passed, then I'm sure they could find another guy they can pay to do a solid Darth Vader voice.

It's just a scummy play by Disney to normalize AI "performers", as opposed to using real talent, by using a major character that people have a connection to. James isn't owed an eternity of voiceover gigs, and Disney can and should pay actual artists to make actual art.

This same board complained that Hermione didn't sound right.

I'm personally okay with that. It's unfortunate in some cases, but I don't think it breaks the experience here.

Will it be strange to hear modern Kermit on RNRC? Yeah, probably. It's not gonna be the end of the world. I will always take that over AI Jim Henson.

I think a ROTR overlay would be logistically difficult and probably wouldn’t produce a better ride quality-wise.

But a Vader animatronic is marketing gold. And I do think it would give the ride a demand boost.

Not saying they’re going to do it, but simply that it could be done. And with the 50th anniversary of the original movie coming up next year, it makes you think.

They could satisfy 98% of guests who want to see Han, Luke, Leia, Vader for about $5 million and then it would take another $50 million to satisfy the remaining 2% who know the histories of every vehicle, weapon, costume, and technology.

No you’re 100% right. I actually think $50 million is probably underselling it if anything lol.

I saw that Lucasfilm just decided that Kylo Ren’s ship (which will now be used for the Vader M&G) was “an older ship that Kylo liked” or something to explain why it’s around in the OT era.

Things like that have to be the worst part of working at Lucasfilm lmao.

We would not be in this mess if they had just listened to what the laying customers want but basing the land on the original trilogy.

Dude, the template for a Star Wars land was right in front of you. Literally screaming at you to base it on the original trilogy. Have Olga’s be the cantina. Have the land based on Tatooine. Heck, they could’ve worked Jabba’s Palace into the queue line for Rise if they wanted to. But nah, ego got in the way and now they’re stuck in this mess for the long-haul.

Yeah, you can argue that Galaxy’s Edge made Disney money, but when Disneyland Paris’ Adventure World decides to scrap Star Wars Land, you know you messed up. They only have themselves to blame.
