Is it bad that I’m actually more excited for this than Avengers Doomsday?

Along with @saint.piss and @Jake S , nah. A standalone Spider-Man film generally has a lot less to worry about than a major event film like Doomsday which has a metric ton of pressure due to a variety of factors. Not to mention, the past several Spider-Man films we've gotten be it both live action and animated have been very enjoyable. If they keep it up with this one, that's another good time!

My main concern is that Holland has indicated his readiness to retire from the role, but Sony doesn’t want to let him go. Hopefully they use this opportunity to transition into a live-action Miles Morales.

I'm just so relieved because I was legit worried they were somehow going to turn this into a multiversal story. Especially since this movie goes right into Doomsday.

Mark Ruffalo and Michael Mando have been confirmed for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Spider-Man, The Hulk, and The Punisher will have a fight scene where the three separate heroes fight eachother.

Mando has been confirmed to be returning as Scorpion. Additionally, set photos indicate that Negative Man, and his army of the Inner Demons; will be in the film proper.

Neat! Also, I'd be impressed if the villain is Negative Man considering he's a DC Villian. While not as confusing as both studios having "Captain Marvel", both studios do have some sort of Negative man. Marvel's is Mister Negative.

Ten years ago, a team-up of Spider-Man and the Hulk would have been the fulfillment of some significant childhood dreams.

Now, with how the MCU has wrecked the Bruce/Hulk character, I am totally apathetic. I'd love to believe they're going to course-correct, but I need to see it to believe it at this point.
