I know that the after HHN thing was always because they use it for HHN. But what exactly do they use in there that would prevent closings before now?

Just kid's attractions, I have never spent much time there but I hear George's water play and Barney is pretty good even though I would strangle the purple beast if I could get him in an alley.

Neither of them is as good as you’ve heard. I actually went back there and found out.

It’s. Not. Good.

The park would be better off if it replaced them with a sandbox and some baby changing stations to be more “family friendly.”

Let me clarify - these were not well executed attractions. It’s like lamenting Seasons of the Vine or Golden Dreams.

Pretty dead part of the park. I don't go during school vacations so I don't know if it gets more people at those times of the year. But I've rarely seen more than a handful of people walking around in the area, except for Animal Actors, which gets OK crowds.

Barney is a fantastically produced show. One of the best at UO actually. Very high production value.

Well, I still visit that ball thingie behind Curious George...(I think it is called the ball factory...it is tons of fun for the family...pretty good way to get away from the crowd and watch adults be kids and kids be kids...I found that one area to be rather unique to me

Ha! Me too - i lose all sense of decorum here. To quote myself:

Yep, we'll miss this for sure.

You may have noticed in pics i have posted that we carry hand sanitizer. For example, The Bypass Bridge | Inside Universal Forums

But i lose all of my shits here and run around picking those filthy balls up as fast as i can, to feed my kid's cannon or bag. We're in a war here folks! :p

Hate to lose this, but will be okay for SNW. :)

Not to even begin to talk about the hazards of bringing a beer in there! :bolt:

Nintendo has plenty of room. Rip all of KidZone out for all I care (no ET though!)...but if Pokémon takes over MIB, we're going to have a problem.

I'm really liking USF less and less.

So KidZone is finished in a few I'm guessing?

Me and two of my adult friends just took a stroll back there on our last trip since we knew it was on the way out... we fooled around in the ball factory for a good 10 minutes lol. It is quite a fun area. there were about 30 or so people in there and the kids were all having a blast... The Fivel area also is pretty cute and large... more impressive than I thought it would be, but in the name of progress

I loved the Fievel area when I was little (big fan of Fievel Goes West and the music in the area still brings me back,) but I've really enjoyed the Ball Factory as an adult.

Yep, the ball factory is very under-rated. My kids loved it back in the day.

I HOPE the Pokemon section of the park has a water ride. USF really needs one. Maybe a much smaller scale version of splash mountain but with Pokemon AA?

A boat is possible as is any other ride system if they want it, but a “water ride” in the gets-you-wet manner is unlikely.

Japanese culture doesn’t take well to them and any clones that exist between the nations are toned down in water output. So being spearheaded by a Japanese company it’s unlikely we’ll get a water ride for the area.

Who told you Japanese don't like water rides...that's totally not true anymore. Hints why they are making a spa theme park in addition USJ succeeded with the drenching of people which totally increased their attendance during the summer

Kid zone isn't going anytime soon. They just repainted the animal actors live stage last week. It's very vibrant now. I don't think universal would freshen up an attraction if they were closing it anytime soon.
