Ah okay. I guess the KONG bridge will be temporarily out of service once construction starts..
although now I'm curious what they plan to do with the KONG lot. And also the tram pick up/drop off
Assuming I think things will go the way they will--Kong Bridge is out of service from September to February of 2026, with grading taking the course of that period of time as they focus first and foremost on the Westside Security Hub. During this time, they might look into upgrades for the bridge itself; like maybe a elevator shaft or something that could help give more options for ops.
While that happens--the Shuttle Drop Off/Pick Up will be redirected to have a route go from the base of the mountain, to within the ET Parking Structure.
@ethanuniversal or
@Jonathan can correct me, but I believe they did have the shuttle redirected to go over to that end of the woods. Once that drop off/pick up opens, it'll allow guests to go through the EastSide Security Checkstands.
As everything goes down, the new one-way exit doors are installed at the various "Entry/Exit" points currently standing in Citywalk Hollywood, once the operations begin for new security around February/March of 2026. Once they get that done, they can then wall off current security and the globe so work can begin on the new hotel (and replacing the current globe with a new one--considering it has effectively stopped spinning for the past year and a half).
From there, a 2.25 year project could allow them to have the hotel up and running by April/May of 2028.
