Should we be worried about Suess Landing?

Seuss is timeless, gives IOA a true family area, and is literally the basis of the theme for the resort's Christmas celebration. There's no way it's going, IMO. If anything, I'd say we should finally get our Grinch expansion into the Seuss expansion plot.

Then fix them up. It's a timeless IP and it's still used in a lot of the marketing for the resort. It's one of the few family draws to IOA and removing it would be a huge mistake.

Given that Illumination has a Grinch movie next year and may produce more Seuss movies after its upcoming sequels (SLoP 2, Sing 2, Minions 2), I'd be surprised if it went anywhere in the short term... (and longer term it will likely be renovated/updated/revamped).

Illumination has Cat in the Hat in production (not dated yet though).

Comcast is pushing more towards pushing its IPs vertically in tv/movies/theme parks (that was the whole reason behind the DreamWorks purchase), and Dr. Seuss is a part of that given its ownership of the rights; that means it's pretty safe.

If they would have the CIH spin like they used to, that alone would be a big improvement.

I think it needs some 3D screen effects.

Ehh I have no issue with the spinning going down. Parents went in thinking it's a Disney dark ride and whoops, there goes little Timmy.

I agree. My mom gets motion sick from spinning so she can't even do the park's only family-friendly dark ride.

I think the term family friendly needs to be redefine. Family friendly should mean something the family can do together regardless of height not regardless of thrill. You have to remember not every family is defined by fear level or intensity of ride and some kids like thrills to the next level.

So, they have built yet another parade building backstage?

This tells me that the original old parade building is going bye bye, as some of us have suspected right along.

Pokemon is consistent with the phase 1.5 info I've been hearing.

There were changes in the USF plan after D23. It's what I've been calling phase 1.5 because what I was told is more was added to what is coming, and probably not open with the land but about a year later. It's not what I would consider a full on Phase 2 like Diagon. But I was told it is more Nintendo, but not Mario/Mushroom Kingdom. At first I thought Zelda, but I have since been told the Zelda is an anchor IP for Site B. So Pokemon would fit.

I was also told that this would take out MiB.

Yup. Starting to wonder if the trailers back there will be reconfigured and the Sprung tents will get moved further back as well, but that's speculation on my part.

They didn't change up the HHN queues for their health either. Testing out new ways to make the event flow moving forward

I have been told yes. And sooner than originally planned.

Men in Black could get remade to Metroid... But if its going to be completely taken out, Pokemon is fine with me.

Oh...that would be...interesting I guess. If they did that, I'd hope they went to more of a Ride-and-Go-Seek style interactivity. I don't want to shoot Pokémon.
