I would think KidZone would close in September, but still have areas available to use during HHN.

So similar to when Disaster closed in 2015, but was still having it's queue operational for HHN25's Run maze?

Yeah. I would think they would start off with Curious George and move on from there.

I assume that wall is the IU boards? ;)

That makes sense, and that do we know yet of the fate of the Parade Building closest to Kidzone as it stands? I would imagine with the new Parade building that it'd be going away after the event.

I'd be worried if those walls around the exterior ET queue were not there. ET might not be COMPLETELY safe, but it's safer.

I'd like to believe this but with rumors about it for years now it just never feels safe. With Nintendo right next to it, it feels like its days are definitely numbered now.

This is an awfully confident assertion.

I like it.

I hope you're right... if so, that's the best news I've heard in a while.

The way I understand it everything for Nintendo in KidZone will not affect ET or the Spongebob store/Pizza building. I have no idea if their entrances will change or what, but similar to the leaked layout, these buildings are to remain.

Whether a small walkway is left between construction walls and ET, or they reroute ETs entrance through Hollywood as we've contemplated, I do not know. But the three Nintendo attractions are coming in without that plot needed as far as I know.

I will say also, unlike the leaked concept, DK will be as big as MK as far as footprint, (if not bigger.) And tbh, I'm starting to look forward to it more than anything else in this land.

Things are of course still in flux, and who knows what might change. But so far I'm even more excited than I was a few weeks ago about all of this.

I've always thought it would play out this way. From an operational & capacity viewpoint, they need ET, until at the very least & probably longer, the opening of Nintendo. If there was no ET, there would essentially only be three attractions on that side of the park (Terminator, Simpsons, Horror Effects Show) with a dearth of capacity & family oriented attractions park wide. I think Alicia's analysis is right on.

I would like to correct something I said in another thread earlier though: While you probably will pass through a warp pipe to get to DK jungle, you will still be outside. Well, at least the courtyard and ride entrance will be. Most of the ride might be indoors, but I was wrong about the courtyard being inside. It'll maybe have tall walls with painted foliage to block our view of the outside world, but no roof on the courtyard. My bad. It would've been cool if it was inside but looked outside like I first thought. I think I misinterpreted something I may have heard to be the way I wanted it to be.

Will there be an outdoor part for the coaster that is shaded to accomodate for in-climate weather (not including Lightning or Thunder)?

Either way, Mario and DK have really intrigued me over the past few months, and I can't wait to see their eventual outcomes.

I cannot confirm or deny the existence of some outdoor sections of coaster at this time.

Lets just say the area will be real kinetic above and around the ride entrance area. ;)

I'm making some banana pudding to celebrate renewed confidence in Donkey Kong Country for Orlando. Seems like just yesterday people were dismissing it as a Nuthouse Coaster re-theme job.

Has anyone ever figured out what Gary was talking about with regards to Zelda & Yoshi both being here too? That has to be some wires-crossed thing right?

Those people have never had an idea what they were talking about.
