With how the Evolution Plan was meant to be at the beginning in comparison of now, one could argue they’ve always been flexible to shift and change their minds. And how much they’ve stuck to things in turn.

I wouldn’t take the map seriously in what goes where. Hell, not everything in that LEGEND is represented on the map. And that I imagine they’d only have the concepts of what to do next, and not necessarily the how.



Ryan Theme Park shows this well, especially in how much has shifted since even the residential plan.

Okay, I know this is entirely conceptual and probably only under half of this will happen and even that may not be exactly as shown…

But even if this is just representative of how they’re THINKING about the future of the park, it’s never been more over. These are genuinely some of the most cooked decisions they could make, and now that I realize somehow SIMPSONS would hypothetically survive this… my high enthusiasm for the future of USH is really being challenged.

Knocking out the only show in the park would be a bonkers decision, but I think further emphasizing the Studio Tour makes a lot of sense. That's what makes the park special. I'm ambivalent on the park expanding beyond its current borders, though. It's pulling in nearly 10 million people a year as is and they're about to open what appears to be a pretty terrific roller coaster. There are a great many attractions that probably should be replaced (not WaterWorld!) and I'd put some of those as a higher priority than bulldozing soundstages to gain more theme park space.

I think the more immediate thing that interests me is that I think there's a things in the map that makes me wonder more in the long game

• The Mill Expansion while not listed on the map or specified in located, is moving forward via permitting
• The new Tech Services project *is* happening and has a outlined building now specified (as opposed to the Cow Missing visuals previously seen)
• The Park Lake Soundstages are still seemingly a go, which should mean once those are completed the Park Expansion into the soundstage cluster should also take place (as it has been noted since the initial announcement of Park Lake)
• UES for the site map seems huge, and it does seem that it might be a flat plot as opposed to a building? You would think we'd see it during the terraforming and prepwork (we might wanna keep a ear out if we see anything that'd suggest otherwise)
• We have a unknown location for a 500 seat amphitheater space. While we don't know where this is in the map, if it's studio or park located; I wonder if this could serve a unique purpose in being a Gibson level theater space that can be rented out (it'd pale to the Gibson for capacity, but it could still be of some use).
• The USH hotel's layout for the main one seems to be maintaining consistency with permits previously released by ParkFans. Layout is in a hook shape. Also looks like the globe seen in this might be a small bit bigger? Could be possible they might replace the globe as a result of when they tear up around the area.

Outside of those elements though--I wouldn't take stock to a good majority of the changes. The second hotel that has been in the Evolution Plan since 2006, clips in the map with Hollywood Drift, for instance; Super Nintendo World is completely absent (the backdraft/TF extended queue lives!!!!!); and T-3 isn't enough to cover what people are jumping to conclusions on with a miniland (unless if it had a really small attraction as part of the kit and kaboodle).

There are some elements to look at. The Studio Tour being one of them, but I don't think people need to be concerned on Waterworld.

Like I've said on the Universal Orland Resort pages, I think Universal is overextending itself with all of these planned new kid parks,
boutique horror parks, a UK theme park, and an EPIC park that needs significantly more capacity. All that probably leaves less budget
money for USF, IOA and USH expansions.

I think Epic is set for a bit. 2030 at the earliest is when EU will get its first expansion so that allows some wiggle room for USF.

'wiggle room' is a good description. It won't get much more. Epic needs capacity, big time, otherwise they'll never be
able to let 30,000 to 40,000 guests into the park.

Basically groundwork on let's say a Simpsons replacement can break ground 2027 ish and EU's first expansion can break ground in 2028. Then you could have the Simpsons replacement up for 2029 and EU's first expansion by 2030. Universal is by for more diligent with construction speeds than Disney so its possible.

Water world is still the number one thing at USH unless it’s a money pit I doubt it will ever leave

EU needs an expansion before 2030.........But back to USH.....Attraction wise, Universal will crawl. And builds take longer than Florida with California's
burdensome building and development codes. Seems like Universal's Evolution Plans are more whimsey than fact. Why even pay attention to them.
