It's a neat concept, but how much more of Jurassic Park must be sacrificed for other areas?!

The jungle's already too thin in that area as it is!

In this longterm plan, imo this means Kong eventually goes and Jurassic expands there.

I agree... however Pizza Predattoria is quite useless as its only open for lunch. By doing this, they could actually add theming to JP (somewhat) like they did with the HP lockers.

They can theme the exterior like a JP lab with raptor scratches, or a barn that holds other dinosaurs. Ideally a large rockwall with waterfalls like Camp Jurassic, but that's wishful thinking.

Great Hall in Hogsmeade concept.

Entrance at current Forbidden Journey entrance - new signs will reflect 'Great Hall Restaurant' at the left side, and 'Attraction' at the right with fence separating both (like it is now). Guests will use the same Hogwarts corridor entry as the attraction. Only issue is single rider, but a TM can be positioned here to stop the flow of guests and allow people to cross. Exit to current locker area (red arrow)

The brown/goldish color leading from the FJ show building to Great Hall is entirely indoors. It will take over the extended queue of Forbidden Journey, which is never really used anymore. There can be a railing through the middle to separate incoming and outgoing guests. Before arriving at the actual Great Hall, there will be a reception area themed to the sorting hat experience. Only one guest per party will be chosen, the rest of the group will get the same house.

Great Hall dinner is a 60-90 minute 'dinner' show with special effects and other story lines throughout. The only major change to this plan is the removal of Pizza Predattoria, but IOA doesn't actually need this QSR capacity since it has so many.

And yes for realism, I relocated the BoH access gate to between new restrooms and Raptor Encounter.

Great minds.

Taking a page off of what I thought about over on the State of USH I deposit what I would do if I..laterally moved Studio Tour to be in the basement of The Simpsons Ride.

Let's assume first and foremost as part of this--the building as it stands could be removed. That is taken into account and I tried to color code this as best as I could. The result in turn, leads to this:

1741764384822.png

1741764402575.png

Upper Level (First Image)
  • Magenta (ADA Ramp to Upper/Lower Level, leads directly to both the ADA Drop Off and Pickup & the Studio Tour Entrance. Replaces the elevator next to the Starway
  • Dark Red (Backstage leading to the trash comapctors and break areas)
  • White (Reworked Guest Flow as part of the changes)
  • Light Cyan (New Foilage as part of blending the area around more properly)
  • Aquamarine (New Studio Tour Entrance/Exit, guests go down and up a escalator to enter the enclosed Plaza)
  • Yellow (Brand new storefront + entertainment venue for a live show. Theater is closer to that of the curved descent for F&F's finale manuver, queue is closer to the right side).
Lower Level (Second Image
  • Magenta (ADA Ramp to Upper/Lower Level, leads directly to both the ADA Drop Off and Pickup & the Studio Tour Entrance. Replaces the elevator next to the Starway
  • Murky Brown (ADA Drop Off/Pick Up area, works as a large U-Turn)
  • Christmas Green (Bathrooms)
  • Pale Green (Walkways to/from Studio Tour Exit + Stroller Parking)
  • Pink (New Operations Building for Studio Tour proper
  • Blue ( Brand New Queue + Loading Dock for the Studio Tour)
  • Star Icon (Relocated Bruce the Shark M&G as part of the Post Studio Tour Attraction).
A core idea with the reworked and enclosed queue is that as part of the method and approach, they would be able to make it a more "Hybrid" experience of a museum and a traditional theme park queue. You would also have it be air conditioned for the summer days, and you could display memorabilia and historical elements of the NBCUniversal Lot.

As for the show venue, you would have it be done in a way to allow it to be blended into the surrounding environment, but also able to house a notable queue ala that of Terminator 2: 3D - Battle Across Time. Ideally, the show matches whatever thematically they'd have planned for the area at large.

Very cool idea. The studio tour really is the ‘main attraction’ of the park and giving it a more prominent entrance and plaza as well as a queue that’s not just switchbacks would be great

If I became Mister Universal, I'd immediately approve attractions for MY favorite IP and my favorite IP alone, hope y'all like the Berk expansion, Kirby in the 20 acres plot at EU, and Godzilla, along with a Toon Lagoon retheme to Sanrio!

Hah. I wish.

IOA:

- Lost Continent becomes... Wicked/The World of Oz. Overall it fits the literature theme better than TLOZ and I think TLOZ would be better placed in EU. Would have elements from Wicked and TWOZ. Either that or The Odyssey makes a billion dollars and we get an e-ticket based off of it with a stage show based off Epic the Musical.

-Toon Lagoon becomes Spongebob... and TMNT. Becomes Nick Lagoon. Spongebob, TMNT and a pinch of Garfield for a sit-down italian resturant become the main stars. Dudley becomes Spongebob, Barges becomes TMNT. Slap on some references to things like Rocko, Rugrats and other Nicktoons and stuff and you'd be set. Krusty Krab quick-service and Chum Bucket window-service would be the main draws though.

-Jurassic Park gets a make-over. By me DEMOLISHING River Adventure, it's time for a jeep ride since Disney has left the scene for 'dinosaur jeep ride'. Land is still LARGELY themed after Jurassic Park with some JW theming crumbs scattered around.

-Keep Marvel the same because I'd be darned if I let Disney get the rights for it in Florida. Add a little playground based off Spider-Man for fun.

-Remove Skull Island and use it for JP expansion. King Kong stays at Universal though.

-I don't know enough about HP to comment on it, next!

Studios:

-F&F becomes the Great Universal Ride Thru the Movies

-Simpsons become Pokemon. I for one welcome my Pikachu overlords. Some sort of AR thing integrating Pokémon GO if the game lasts that long. Probably won't, but AR/hologram battles will be a focal point.

-World Expo becomes Tokyo Coast, featuring a Godzilla E-Ticket, Sanrio flat ride, and either a show based off an anime IP or Hatsune Miku, causing Universal to discover an infinite money glitch.

•E-Ticket based off The Wild Robot added to DreamWorks Land. Fight me on this one.

•Transformers reskinned by a Movie Sonic ride. Because why not?

Epic Universe:

-Creature boat ride? Never heard of her. Sorry Gillman, my beloved pookie wookie bear. I have a bigger fish.... errrr ape to take care of.

King Kong has come to Dark Universe, being apart of the Universal Classic Monsters (despite people saying he's NOT, he is one I swear!), and has come bringing KING KONG ESCAPES: a suspended dark ride that brings you face to face with the big gorilla, sporting a design closer to the classic 30s look!

Little Shop of Horrors Stage show. I know it's not Universal but let me have this one. I'd either make Dark Universe the best land ever or have the puritans chase me down and gut me like a fish.

-Berk flight simulator. I don't need to explain this.

-Harry Potter gets uhmmm, uhhh... Hmmm... I like Nifflers. How about a ride where you chase after one? Yeah, that'd be fun.

-Super NINTENDO World doesn't get Luigi and gets another NINTENDO franchise since it's not called Super MARIO World. Enter: Popstar, it's a Kirby land! Everyone loves Kirby! There's a flat spinner ride, a dark ride that has Kirby face off against... someone I guess. And a Kirby Cafe. Universal rediscovers the infinite money glitch.

-Celestial Gardens gets a walk-through attraction detailing the lore of the land.

-20 acres for one IP? No! Land is split between D&D/Baldurs Gate and Transformers, both with distinct portals.

Transformers portal quote is "Til All Are One".

After I either save Universal or bring upon it's bankruptcy my tenure is cut short because the staff discovers I simply lied long enough saying I'm the boss because nobody has seen the boss in years. Unfortunately, someone discovers my Hollywood plans, and accidentally stamps it with green ink.

"Ted narrates Studio Tour".

USF:
  • Villain-Con is re-themed to a Sing walkthrough attraction where you see all the characters perform their different epic musical numbers, combining screens, practical effects and some animatronics.

  • RRR becomes Ghostbusters dark ride/coaster hybrid, using the Cosmic Rewind/Hollywood Drift tech.

  • Supercharged completely gutted/demo'd for Universal's Great Movie Ride, a fully-immersive dark ride using animatronics and epic sets to take you on an adventure through Universal's legacy of cinema!

  • FFL is demo'd for a unique Fast & Furious launch coaster.

  • MIB gets another big refurb, not just TLC to restore all animatronics and effects to full glory, but improving the audio, improving the screens to HD, finally put in new blasters, and adding in more animatronics/targets on the street after the fusion exhaust port scan, which is the most empty section with not much to shoot.

  • Springfield is demo'd, not for Pokemon... but for Wicked: Land of Oz, a fully-immersive land with two E-tickets, a restaurant and of course lots of shopping and interactive opportunities. But where does Pokemon go, you ask?

  • DreamWorks Land is fully razed to the ground for Super Nintendo World: Saffron City, one of the most iconic locations in Pokemon. This will not only fit in with USF's mostly city-like lands, but the more forest-y nature of Saffron's outskirts will allow it to naturally fit in next to E.T. and Central Park. This land will expand back into B-79 (the old parade building) as the original plans for SNW here called for, allowing for a large and immersive family-friendly land with a Pokemon Snap Safari dark ride, a decently-thrilling but still good beginner inverted coaster, full Professor Oak show with Pokemon puppets, a playground, and of course even more interactive opportunities.

IoA:
  • Incredible Hulk's queue soundtrack is released on Spotify and iTunes.

  • Borrowing a bit from what I believe is @UniversalRBLX's concept: Toon Lagoon Theater is demo'd for a Bikini Bottom expansion of Toon Lagoon with a SpongeBob dark ride, Comic Strip Cafe transformed into the Krusty Krab, Cathy's Ice Cream is transformed into a Chum Bucket window pickup, and a portion of Toon Extra is made into a meet-n-greet with rotating SpongeBob characters throughout the day.

  • Reign of Kong is razed to the ground for a Jurassic gyrosphere/jeep ride (if World, gyrosphere. If Park, jeep).

  • River Adventure is given the Jurassic World upgrade, with the exception of the mosasaurus tank at the beginning. The gate and that beautiful first river stays.

  • As proposed in a few comments before me, Pizza Preddatoria is ripped out for HP to get a Great Hall expansion, and of course new jungle theming is put up to hide it from Jurassic.

  • TLC is razed for Super Nintendo World: Hyrule. Not much else I can say here that hasn't already been said- Large E-ticket boat ride, shops and restaurants, put in a new stunt show.

  • Give Seuss a permanent theater that plays Grinchmas during Holidays, and the rest of the year? Either an original show, or heck, maybe a shortened Seussical. Just anything to give IoA more entertainment offerings.

Epic:
  • The small expansion pad next to Celestial Park is used to finally bring Waterworld over to UOR.

  • Creature boat ride happens ASAP. Make it terrifying.

  • The large expansion pad becomes LotR.

  • HtTYD gets a FoP-style ride with you flying on a dragon.

  • When those slots around Epic that may or may not be used for new hotels happen, make each one themed to one of the lands: Toadstool Towers, Castle Van Helsing, Beauxbatons, Dragon's Rest.

I want this to be so real...

Welcome to Hill Valley... from Universal's hit film Back to the FutureComing (hopefully in the not so distant future) to Universal Studios Florida.

San Francisco will transform into not one, but 3 different time zones inspired by the film. You will first start your time-traveling journey in Hill Valley in 1955 where the Courthouse stands. Occasionally, you might see a flast of lightning hit the tower in an amazing spectacle. (Similar to Dark Universe effects)

In 1985, guests find out that Doc had a 2nd passion... cooking unique dishes! Head to Doc's Experimental Chicken (former Ricther's) where Doc is dishing out classic American dishes with a twist. Chopped Chicken Tender & Waffle Bowls, Cheeseburger with 6 different cheeses, etc. You can also check out Doc's Garage (attraction's exit shop) where you can purchase BTTF gifts and other eclectic gifts.

In 2015, you can head to Cafe 80s for a table service meal serving American dishes in a totally 80s setting. Or, head on over to the milkshake bar (SF Pastry Company) for milkshakes, floats and other sweet treats. Or cross the street to Biff's Palace where you can meet the man himself and take photos or shop.

Back to the Future: Time Racers
Enter the Courthouse in 1955 where Doc has set up a time travel tourism company. Throughout the garage you will see experimental devices created by him and a few easter eggs from the films. In the first pre show Doc invites you to accompany him on a time travel journey to amazing locations and times around the world. In the 2nd preshow, as Doc showcases your planned route, he is interrupted when Biff from 2015 takes over his plans with the goal of setting up his own travel company. There, Doc asks for help in getting Biff. You hop onboard a super stretch DeLorean to catch Biff. You speed up to 88MPH (false tunnel scene) to teleport to Hill Valley in 1855 (alley scene). At the barn (party musion scene) Marty comes to the rescue in a DeLorean to help Doc)

360 scene is similar to BTTF the ride where you teleport to various eras in time trying to catch Biff. Ideally, if they have space, they can place a DeLorean on a Kuka to allow for a "dueling" experience with Marty on one side and Biff on the other.Ride ends with teleport guests into Hill Valley 1985 where you exit.

If I were head of Universal Creative, one thing I'd do moving forward on all theme parks is to challenge the landscape and irrigation engineering teams to better hide their utility boxes. With mobile technology nowadays, having a map of where things are (i.e., behind bushes and tall grasses) in your pocket at all times is possible, so they don't need to be so visible to guests.

Putting these right next to show elements and within view of guests neutralizes the investment on scenic theming. It takes you out of the immersion. There are some functional things that cannot be avoided (fire hydrants, fire sprinklers) but landscape irrigation seems like it could be concealed more.

I had a few ideas I’m bringing dark universe to Hollywood but not the maner instead it’s a phantom of the opera ride soo let me explain u bored a scoop style ride system and all through the ride u are trying to save the monsters while the phantom is trying to control them with his music and burn them u could have some really cool fire effects and some really cool chase scenes between the monsters too at some point the fire gets super close to your vehicle for some really cool near miss moments it would be a fun different but still awesome dark universe ride for Hollywood

Just now discovering this board somehow and giving my shot at it:

Universal Studios:
  • Villain-Con: NOT my original idea (agreeing with HHN Maddux above) to re-theme Villain-Con to the Sing Musical 3D (Seated) Show (like Shrek 4D) or Walkthrough (to fit with the current style of Villain-Con). It could be something great and creative for kids that would be better than the current attraction that feels randomly cobbled together (sure it fits the theming they created with the overall Minion Land, but the attraction itself feels just kind of thrown together.)

  • Rip Ride Rockit: Two options here, neither which I can claim as an original idea either but, this becomes either a Ghostbusters hybrid dark ride/coaster (also shout out to HHN Maddux) or this becomes Fast and Furious: Orlando Drift. I'm personally not a big fan of Fast and Furious but it would make sense here and also the franchise deserves something actually fast and not the current iteration it has in Supercharged.

  • Jimmy Fallon: This is gone immediately. Ideally, The Secret Life of Pets goes in here. It’s both right “up the road” from Illumination Avenue and is in New York so it fits with the theming for both.

  • F&F Supercharged: Wow, okay, again agreeing with HHN Maddux for Universal's iteration of the Great Movie Ride, or essentially an indoor version of Hollywood's Tram Tour: Universal's CineRail (I'll workshop the name) where we would go through scenes of the classics: Jaws, Back to the Future, King Kong (stay with me because that’s leaving in IOA), Ghostbusters- if it did not make it to replace Rockit- etc.

  • Fear Factor Live: I actually hate seeing so many of the stages empty. I may be in the minority but I'm for revamping the stages and bringing new life into them. Therefore, this becomes The Fall Guy Stunt Show. This allows us to reinvigorate the stage space and honor Universal's love of celebrating the movies while paying tribute to/bringing back a stunt show.

  • MIB: IF Rockit became the Fast and Furious coaster instead of a Ghostbusters coaster, this is where I would re-theme MIB to be a Ghostbusters dark ride. Keep the same ride system as MIB but update it to where you are now capturing ghosts with your proton packs instead of shooting aliens. I love MIB dearly...but with the Ghostbusters franchise being both evergreen and the new films reinvigorating the series, this makes sense to me.

  • Springfield: demo this and make it Spongebob/Bikini Bottom. The Simpsons becomes a Mrs. Puff's Boating School Ride, Kang and Kodos becomes a Jellyfishing style ride or something similar. Add water features to splash you akin to One Fish Two Fish. All of the carnival games can stay. Krusty Burger easily becomes The Krusty Krab (other restaurants in Fast Food Boulevard get rethemed: Lisa's Teahouse - Pearl's Vegetarian Place (workshop the name), Cletus' Chicken Shack - Sandy's Texas BBQ, Frying Dutchman - The Flying Dutchman (easy), Flaming Moe's becomes The Salty Spitoon, Luigi's Pizza - Krusty Krab Pizza. Duff Brewery becomes a Tiki Bar or The Chumbucket Bar. Add some splash pads for the kids and more water features to the area to enhance the idea of being under water.

  • DreamWorks Land stays but gets some enhancements. Specifically, they add a Mr. Ping's Noodle Shop (can be a cart or bar doesn't need a full restaurant) to the Kung Foo Panda section.
Islands of Adventure:

  • Reign of Kong: Full agree with HHN Maddox, Skull Island gets absorbed back to Jurassic World this leaves room for a Jurassic World Gyrosphere or Jeep Ride. Fully fine with either but given that the space is leaning more World these days, likely more Gyrosphere.

  • JP River Adventure: also gets the Jurassic World upgrade mostly because wow do those animatronics need replacements.

  • Pteranodon Flyers: The Pteranodon Flyers ride system gets rebuilt to handle larger weight capacity so adult riders can go without kids (maybe something that's a hybrid between Jurassic Flyers in China and Pteranodon Flyers so that it can handle adult weight capacity but keep the Pteranodon theming). I know this would destroy the traffic in the kids playground so I propose the loading dock for it gets moved somewhere else so that the kids playground can stay as it is without it getting overloaded with traffic. Add in some Pteranodon animatronics as well.

  • General JP updates: add more dinosaur encounters throughout the land. More “handlers” walking around with more dinosaurs like they have in the overseas parks.

  • Toon Lagoon: The attractions can stay for now. Although another idea would be to turn this area into Spongebob/Bikini Bottom if it didn’t go into Studios. More importantly, would love to see that stage not sit dormant anymore and have a show put there. If it stays Toon Lagoon, find a way to make the show relevant to today’s audiences. If it goes Spongebob route, a Spongebob show would do great there.

  • Lost Continent. Needs a complete retheme to something. Not sure what yet but I also hate seeing that stage that held Sinbad sit dormant. Find new theming (TBD) and put a show there.

  • Seuss Landing: Everything can stay as is but Cat in the Hat is in dire need of real refurbishment…not just maintenance…complete re-do. It’s in dire straits and a proper dark ride needs to be in that space.

Epic Universe:

  • Dark Universe: Enhancements over time including The Creature From The Black Lagoon boat ride concept.

  • Nintendo: Zelda Expansion.

  • How To Train Your Dragon: Adds a Dragon Training Ride where you fly on a dragon similar to Flight of Passage as others have mentioned before.

  • New Portal: Wicked: Wicked gets its own grand, expansive themed land portal complete with a sprawling Emerald City and giant Royale Palace of Oz. Attractions can include a Defying Gravity coaster which could either be indoor, outdoor, or a hybrid. I tend to prefer a hybrid where we start in the Royale Palace complete with advanced animatronics and break through the castle to be outside for the remainder of the ride. Speakers can be onboard behind your head to play “Defying Gravity”. Meet and Greets with characters will be included. Highly themed characters will walk the land and there can be “pop up” musical shows/I guess “flash mob” style shows with music.

Could SLOP (or an equivalent ride) actually fit there? I know it's a relatively small footprint in Hollywood.

That would be the ideal location for such a thing if it could be made to fit.

Could SLOP (or an equivalent ride) actually fit there? I know it's a relatively small footprint in Hollywood.

That would be the ideal location for such a thing if it could be made to fit.

I don’t think it would but I would even be okay with the current ride system of Fallon but with Secret Life of Pets theming. Wouldn’t have to be a copy and paste of the Hollywood ride.

That could work hypothetically, but two motion simulators themed to Illumination films right next to each other might be overkill.

True. Ideally a dark ride of SLOP then. If it was possible in that space lol.
