For 15 years Ive been imagining Monte gettin the Aztec themeing treatment with a more enclosed station, lighting and fog effects. So dream come true. But not a fan of those restraints.

Happy National Roller Coaster Day! Huge upgrade theming-wise. If they really enclose the station to enhance the fog and lighting, that would be insane. Also, OTSR.

I'm not sure who keeps pushing the comfort collars on these parks...

Once again, they're pointless, and couldn't be less comfortable

Wish Jaguar was getting some added effects as well, but cool for MonteZOOMa fans.

Refer back to the concept video screenshots... it looks like it "MIGHT" get a technical upgrade (fog/lighting)

They're literally planning to reskin Sol-Spin to match Jaguar temple. So I wouldn't rule anything out

They’re faster and easier to check than seatbelts which have to be checked before the restraints go down. A big reason why Ghost Rider ops are so terrible. Plus if you’ve ridden West Coast Racers then you know they hardly affect your ride.

Plus, it appears these comfort collars are already attached to the lap bar, much like Wonder Woman at SFMM. They literally take two seconds to put on and check, so if that's really the case, it could really improve ops.

I've ridden enough SkyRocketII's to know they are bothersome

There aren’t much lateral forces in Monty, so I don’t think they’ll be a big deal in this….though it’s still annoying and unnecessary.

I'm trying to recall if Full Throttle has them...I feel like it doesn't

That essentially has a gigantic loop so it is kind of a bummer that Knotts has chosen to have them

Full throttle opened without any belts, just the lap bar. Seatbelts were added around the same time Goliath received its belts.

Ditto what he said. Seatbelts were added to Goliath and Full Throttle shortly after the 2013 Texas Giant accident.

Those facades look a lot better than the others over opposite Boot Hill. Probably because people actually have to get in there, etc. Looking good for what they are!

According to Intamin’s website, looks like Xcellerator will also be getting the LSM treatment just like TTD

Hasn't it always said that and its a mislabel? If that wasn't the case then all the coasters would be converted. I wouldn't read too much into what Intamin has on their site.

Looks like some parts of the original Montezooma's Revenge have made their way to the National Roller Coaster Museum and Archives.

Sorry I've been slacking on updates....
PART 1

20220908_153332.jpg
They FINALLY updated the two map "signs" in the park to include the recent changes (pizza, bathrooms, fiesta)

Speaking of the new Prop Shop Pizza, I realized I never posted pics of it. :look: OOPS! So here's those pics from July :ninja::lol:
20220712_112352.jpg
20220712_112614.jpg
This was taken AFTER the "grand opening", they were still working on scenic details that weren't done yet
20220712_112640.jpg
20220712_122038.jpg
Pasta, Pizza, Salad, Beer (in that order)
20220712_122031.jpg
Beverages & cashier
20220712_122001.jpg
20220712_122003.jpg
The new (outdoor) covered dining area is bigger than it looks! Could've used a ceiling fan or two though
20220830_180022.jpg
The rooftop billboard was finally completed

And of course those new bathrooms by the Bumper Cars
20220712_112727.jpg

One of Two family restrooms with baby changing table (the toilet is on the right of the door wall)
20220712_112914.jpg
Double drinking fountain with water bottle refill
20220712_112903.jpg
The sink area is shared between the bathrooms
20220712_112832.jpg
20220712_112835.jpg
As you can see, the men's restroom is very spacious. From what I've heard, the women's restroom has about 16 stalls (for those curious).

IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW....
20220712_113155.jpg
20220712_113205.jpg
Beary Tales Giftshop has this nice piece of KNOTT'S extinct ride history

Due to the new bathrooms, the arcade beneath Beary Tales needed a minor redo to accommodate them
20220712_113416.jpg
The "prize counter" used to be right here in the center, which was honestly awkward & terrible.
20220712_113327.jpg
The "prize counter" has been relocated to the back of the arcade which allows for better staff view..
20220712_113347.jpg
This is the view to the left of the prize counter, which also happens to be the backside of the new restrooms

Sorry for the double-post.... Here is update
PART 2

Here's the stage & former Papa Loca building

Here's your Montezooma's Revenge P0rn

Looking through the construction wall hole, you'll see the queue gates have been removed & the queue itself ripped up!

20220830_173518.jpg
Part of the track has been removed

20220908_151347.jpg
Here's your view from Jaguar of the old loop area

In other news, they just recently repaved the midway pathway from Silver Bullet underpass all the way up to Fiesta Village. What I saw the other week, the pathway behind Fiesta heading along the "lake" to Sol Spin was walled off & ripped up. So they're trying to get the areas done in phases. Sorry for the lack of pic!

On a completely unrelated note, if you never noticed, they "fixed" the penny press machines by Mystery Lodge. No more loose change needed. Just swipe your card for a piece of nostalgia! For $3, you get all 3 designs instead of choosing one.

This particular machine features Knott's Scary Farm "Halloween Haunt" pressed pennies!
