We have launch/brake fins on site! And there were at least 3-4 active workers in the station while we were there

We are literally one year away from the FIVE YEAR anniversary of Monty shutting down. It is so pathetic how long this is taking.

This isn’t opening till Spring 2027 at the earliest. They waited this long, they light as well intentionally delay this to “compete” against SFMM’s new coaster.

Any tips for the boysenberry festival this year? Must try items? What time do they stop serving food?

There's so many different items, it's really going to depend on what interests you.

Good question about what time they stop serving; not really sure, but I do know that sometimes, popular booths do run out of their items later in the day. So if there's something you really must try, do it earlier.

One Note before I talk about the event, the updated Bird Cage theater is so great. They have improved just about everything and with the real AC now...should be great to get out of the heat for shows.

This is my first year of the boysenberry festival

Its a solid event but think I preferred the Peanuts Celebration

The great Train Robbery is for people who really love the Theater and has some fun theme park insider jokes,

Besides the normal music like the Spanish guitarist and Kirk and the Hill Billies, they have a great bluegrass guitarist in the Wildness lodge....only issue is there isn't much room to enjoy him because its mostly for people in line for food/drinks.

The peanuts characters and Whittles are dressed up for the event.

The kids enjoy the pie themed games in the middle of the park

The Pie eating contest gets a BIG crowd or at least when I went

Knott's Preserved: A Musical Celebration is a well put together show but just kind of the prefer the two Peanuts shows they put on here. I think the peanuts shows just have more music from more modern day era's while this show is more about very old school music

But its still a fun time to visit the Log ride had a hugeeeeee line all day and even with fast lane looked like a long wait...so I skipped it

Also they are building a house near the train tracks/viewed from the Sky Tower....which....I have no idea how you'd fine the Sky tower line, lol. Its so hard to find

The Boysenberry Festival Returns to Knott's Berry Farm for the 2026 Season

Can you feel that spring is here? The air is warming up, flowers are blooming, and the boysenberries have taken over Knott's Berry Farm. It's now time for the most delicious season at Knott's: the Boysenberry Festival! For a park that was founded on food, it only makes sense that they host an

All LSMs are installed on the main launch! While riding Jaguar, it appears that there may be one more to be installed behind the station, but not sure.

Many pics on my thread below

Also, Knott's (and apparently all Six Flags parks) had their servers down for a number of hours today, leading to a lot of chaos on an already crowded day. Passes weren't loading into the app, there was no in park WiFi, and nothing was able to be scanned... so for a while, that meant no purchases of any kind, including souvenirs and tasting cards. Also no Fastlanes. People who already had tasting cards had holes punched in them. Unclear how that will be reconsiled later if you revisit later.

On the plus side, if you had a mug, they weren't scanning them, so you could get as many refills as you wanted, lol. It did seem servers came up by mid-afternoon.

I would imagine the one behind the station is for slowing it down as it reenters the station for unload. I could be dead wrong, though.

Saw this on Five Fires’ story and will post the link below to cite the source (Ugh paywall), but the OC Register is reporting that Monty will reopen by “Summer 2026 or sooner”.

Knott’s Berry Farm to open reimagined Montezooma coaster this summer

The seems…pretty ambitious. The station is supposed to be made over and they aren’t anywhere near testing yet. Summer is in two months. Are they sure about this???

While the coaster itself is appearing fairly close to finished, the station is nowhere near ready, nor has any trains been on site (to my knowledge). But the track is all there, and it seems basically all the LSMs are installed.

I remember they initially posted a completely different station for MonteZOOMA that was more cave-like., and there seems to be zero movement on that at all... suspecting it's been abandoned?

That’s my guess, too. Pretty disappointing, which is at least in keeping with the tradition of this project.

When it comes to the coaster station/queue, I've got a feeling the whole refresh to that has been cut. After all, it was only announced/mentioned all the way back during the initial announcement...when they were probably thinking that Kumbak was going to deliver on their promises and had the budget and time for things like the station/queue.

I think the main priority at this point is getting the coaster open and calling it a day.

Which is frustrating to think about when all they had to do was reach out to Gerstlauer to work on this project. Knott’s already worked with them on Hangtime and they did a great job restoring Psyche Underground in Holland.

On an alternate timeline, Knott’s would’ve had Gerstlauer get this done, we would’ve enjoyed Monty against with the flywheel launch still in place, and we would’ve enjoyed probably be talking about when the next new coaster is opening by now.

I wonder if they’re going to try to get the ball rolling on Jaguar’s replacement after Monty opens to make up for lost time? Park hasn’t had a new *major* coaster in nearly a decade.

...meh... while it does look great, the ride itself leaves a lot to be desired. The launch is very slow and weak. Sort of comparable to Pony Express. Which is fine for a family ride, but I think they want something with a bit more punch.
