I mean... I wanted to like it. I like that they tried to do something without using an external IP. But... the ride is not good and, as you say, it's an operational nightmare. I don't know how long they feel they need to keep the ride system around to feel like they got their money's worth, but I'd be happy to see this punted out of existence tomorrow.

If Bear-y Tales were just confined to a restaurant and they replaced the current Bear-y Tales ride with a proper KoD 2.0, I would not be mad.

The Resturant is a good idea but as for the ride

Do we like Berry Tales?

The ride is fine but man.....the loading is insanely slow and it breaks down like everytime I go

I grew up with Kingdom of the Dinosaurs, so I never got to experience the original Bear-y Tales ride. From a purely historical point of view, I think it's an important part of Knott's Berry Farm, so I like that in some way the legacy lives on. I think the new attraction misses the mark though. Maybe that can be blamed on Voyage to the Iron Reef, as it was more cost effective to essentially reskin that ride than making an entirely new attraction.

It obviously has some dedicated fans. I think the restaurant idea is fine. I can't remember the last time I've eaten at the Johnny Rockets (or any Johnny Rockets for that matter) and in my opinion the last handful of original restaurants they've built have been pretty decent.

I grew up with the Dino's as well (god...I would kill for that ride to come back)

I think the restaurant is a good idea and the ride it self is fine, like I pointed out just the slow loading and breaking down...which yes, I'd assume its on the fault of the attraction for it as well.

But excited to see the restaurant and its theming

Screamscape was reporting that Montezuma may open in the latter part of this year. I am still baffled by this one. In the time that it has been down, they could have built two or three shuttle coasters from scratch. I understand that the ride has some history but why is this so difficult to get rebuilt and opened?

Pure mismanagement on the part of both Knott's and the vendor originally hired to handle the redo.

Just a reminder: when Montezooma just went under the knife, the F&F coaster at USH was not even a rumor yet! That’s how long it been.

Imagine going back in time to when Monty closed and telling the guy standing behind you that USH will open up a world-class roller coaster by the time Monty opens.

But year having this thing open by the end of the year, even with its history, is ridiculous. I’ll take it over no Monty though.

Is it still the same vendor, or has someone else taken it over? The lack of transparency about this attraction has been so frustrating.

We have a new Bear-y Tales restaurant taking over Johnny Rockets!
Personally, pretty excited about this. I wish they could've redone the exterior a bit more but oh well.

The downfall of Johnny Rockets is upon us and I am all here for it. I’m glad to be alive long enough to witness mediocre, overpriced burgers fade or. Any place that charges for fries separate from the burger should be mocked.

But seriously though, this is a welcome change! Glad to see a Bear-y Tales themed restaurant! Surely they’ll also sell pies, right?
